Do you have Holy Spirit and its gifts?

It is obvious from the posts on this forum that many of the members claim to be Christian but equally obvious is the fact that many lack the gifts of holy spirit listed in 1 Corinthians 12:

7; But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit withal.

8; For to one is given by the Spirit the word of wisdom; to another the word of knowledge by the same Spirit;

9; To another faith by the same Spirit; to another the gifts of healing by the same Spirit;

10; To another the working of miracles; to another prophecy; to another discerning of spirits; to another divers kinds of tongues; to another the interpretation of tongues:

11; But all these worketh that one and the selfsame Spirit, dividing to every man severally as he will.

I've previously written I've got the gifts of wisdom, knowledge, faith, discernment of spirits - but I've no gift of tongues or interpretation of tongues. I've had my knee healed by others but I don't think I can heal physical problems.

I started this thread in response to Rhema's challenge as he constantly proves a lack of wisdom and knowledge and faith and worse - constantly calls Jesus a liar!
And despite the constant repitition of being able to read the Bible in original Greek and Hebrew he obviously has mental blocks of what has been read and snears at others who can understand what teh Bible says.

So the question is: do you believe you have any of the gifts of holy spirit - and if so why do you dispute what the Bible clearly says?

I had a breakthrough a few days ago in which i was able to see clearly that a demon is making both my ex..and me, indirectly, depressed. So i told it to leave her alone, and i have been feeling better for several days now. People accuse me of having a soul tie with her, but if she eventually turns back to Jesus because i keep casting demons out of her, then its for the better. Doesnt affect me at all provided i stay ahead of it.

As a result some other spirits were not happy about that and 3 of them harassed me a couple nights ago, for the first time (that strongly) in a couple years.

Im beginning to better trust my discernment which extends into the hidden matters of the heart. As in, a persons intentions

Practically all psychiatrists, doctors etc refuse to accept the reality of demons.

I'll have look online later to see if I can find any sermons about the gifts of holy spirit.

If you remember the parable about the sower and the seeds it wasn't just talking about faith as the word faith, it was talking about us receiving the Holy Spirit. Which is also faith.

To receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit your heart must be fertile with love. The love that's in your heart is like rich ground to grow in, but the more Harden your heart is towards God or towards others the more hardened your ground is to grow in.

So a person can receive the baptism of the spirit and not really even received the gifts of the Holy Spirit because their hearts are hardened against things like not having any forgiveness in them. Or being proud. Things like this will stop you from receiving the gifts of the Spirit. Even though you've been baptized in the Spirit.

It is why I always tell people you must forgive the Catholics for whatever offenses that they have done to you or in general you must forgive them. And the Catholics must forgive the Protestants because without having the openness of God's love within you you will never receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit either.

And you must remind Catholics they are pagans and idolaters doomed to destruction when Jesus returns.
Jesus came to collect the sheep of the Ten Lost Tribes who are todays Christians - not the pagan catholics who are Satan's goats.

The reason for the absence of the Holy Spirit in most of the Children of God's Lives is because they changed the meetings from Edifying Meetings of God with His Kids to worship meetings of mankind. In Edifying Meetings the Kids are Edified by our "Abba Father/Daddy, Jehovah" in also receiving the Gifts and operating in them.

1 Cor. 14: 26 How is it then, brethren? when ye come together, every one of you hath a psalm, hath a doctrine, hath a tongue, hath a revelation, hath an interpretation. Let all things be done unto edifying.
27 If any man speak in an unknown tongue, let it be by two, or at the most by three, and that by course; and let one interpret.
28 But if there be no interpreter, let him keep silence in the church; and let him speak to himself, and to God.
29 Let the prophets speak two or three, and let the other judge.
30 If any thing be revealed to another that sitteth by, let the first hold his peace.
31 For ye may all prophesy one by one, that all may learn, and all may be comforted.

While in worship of mankind's meetings they are just "slaves". Slaves of their "pastor" who enjoys his worship of "pastor" and slaves of "his god" who also needs it.

2 Cor. 11: 19 For ye suffer fools gladly, seeing ye yourselves are wise.
20 For ye suffer, if a man bring you into bondage, if a man devour you, if a man take of you, if a man exalt himself, if a man smite you on the face.

I would just like to point out that we should never put God in a box. After all all you have to do is look at John the Baptist when he was still in his mother's womb. And the passage that goes with that that he was filled with the Holy Spirit already.

The Spirit of God goes where it wants to go not where we think it should go.

Even when a prophet does come these days, when God sends his Prophets. Nobody listens to them. Because they think they know everything. Look at this whole Forum right now there's very little actual discussion going on it's more like I know everything and you don't know anything.

I think the biggest error that Christians have right now is the fact that they don't know how to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit even if they think they do. And if they do receive the baptism of the spirit suddenly they feel that they have a knowledge of everything when they don't. LOL so the problem that really stems from all this comes with the area of discernment. The people do not know how to listen to the Holy Spirit even when they have the Holy Spirit

And then He told Me He will give me something much Greater to Give. And He gave Me the Heart of a Mother. Which i resisted for a whole year. Then I bowed and accepted and I see now the Greatness of His Vision and Dream for each of us. When we want it above our own dreams and visions.

Bill, I doubt there are any true prophets on this forum, although that begs the question what is a prophet.

It may just be that a forum such as this attracts the marginalized thinker and the NPD people, because the loons have no other outlet in which to express themselves. I mean when sitting around in the mental institution one can't just play backgammon all day. (Nope, sorry, don't speak from experience - just observation.)

Now with regards to my posts, I rarely if ever post something about which I'm not 100% sure. If I might be wrong, why open my mouth and prove it?

This actually addresses an important topic and major concern in the modern Pentecostal Church; the claim that if there is no evidence of speaking in tongues, then there has been no impartation of the Holy Spirit. The problem arises since every example of any baptism in the Holy Spirit is always accompanied by a speaking in tongues.

And they were all filled with the Holy Ghost, and began to speak with other tongues, as the Spirit gave them utterance.

A Yes or No would be sufficient, if one is too ... uh... shy to give details.
(And I understand why one would decline to share.)
Just think about the chaos that would ensue here were I to testify about the time I raised a friend from the dead.

My own response then would be yes.

There are false prophets those that went out from the true "us" prophets one is a true prophet sent by God our Holy Father as it is written (sola scriptura) or antichrists false prophets' false prophecy bringing I heard it through the father's grape vine oral tradition of dying mankind

What is a prophet. . if not an errand boy sent with written words of another (apostles sent mesesger) .UPS, Fed X, Amazon, Pony Express, Smoke Signal.

I am my wife's favorite apostle (sent messenger) Off on a mission to the Supermarket with a written list not to add to or subtract from .Upon completing the mission I receive the apostle's reward. Making the mission possible .Two homemade Peanut Butter cookies and a cold glass of milk .

A prophet is not one who just calls minself ( herself) a prophet. ( see end) A prophet is one whom God sends. And many times that person may not even know God is sending them.

Sometimes God sends us a person for a short time. That is, this person is just what we need for that moment. Maybe this person may seem like an Angel, as he is there just when you need them. Or the person affects a larger group of people, a whole nation. And there are the full prophets, like Elijah of the Old Testament. But they are today with us now. We will never really know who they are until they pass from this Earth. Except for maybe a handful of people. But the vast majority will not recognize that person as a prophet until that prophet is gone.

A prophet is one, who is open to the will of God. And lets God flow through them without prejudice, without judgment of other people. But they are strong supporters of the will of God as far as God's truth, God's justice, God's love.

( I've stated that the Lord has sent me here. And I know who I am. And even though I can sit here and say that I am a prophet, you may never believe it until after I'm gone)
