2. His spiritual mentor for 20 years has been Jeremiah Wright whom Obama personally chose out of many Chicago pastors. It strains credibility that he didn’t know about Wright’s views. He listened to tapes of Rev. Wright when he was at Harvard Law! So why did he choose him and stick with him for so long? The only possible explanation is that he approved of Wright’s tirades.

3. He is a close friend of William Ayers and Bernadine Dorhn, unrepentant Weather Underground terrorists.

4. He is a target for assassination, not because he is black but because he is a Muslim apostate, according to devout Muslims around the world. Therefore, he cannot be a good Chief Diplomat to the Middle East.

5. He was mentored by a communist.

6. His economic plan will harm the US economy and create more fiscal irresponsibility with the Congressional Budget. Why do we want to return to the days of Jimmy Carter?

7. He is in favor of unilateral disarmament, leaving America defenseless against its enemies.

8. He is unaccomplished. He hasn’t really done anything of worth relative to the office of the US presidency. He’s only been in the Senate for about two years (assumed in office Jan of 2005 and announced his candidacy for the presidency in Feb 2007). One can’t be simultaneously a full-time senator and a full-time presidential candidate. Soon he will have campaigned for almost as long as he has been in the Senate.

9. He is willing to personally meet with hostile dictators like Hugo Chavez and Ahmadinejad with no preconditions. They don’t deserve such a privilege of meeting the President of the USA. Reagan negotiated from a position of strength, when he thought he could gain something. What does Obama hope to gain?

10. Three other people: Tony Rezko, Eric Holder, Jim Johnson. Why does Obama associate with such shady characters?

Natty, yes I'm sure he's being threatened.

The truth is, I strongly believe the possibility of the final anti-christ working through Obama. There are so many indications of why I believe this. I could be easily wrong, but this is how I feel. I think some radicals will try to assassinate him. If he doesn't win, there might be chaos either way. The islamic radicals are out there, and they have no sense of the love of Jesus Christ.

We can only pray and hope for a change of heart in this people. Sometimes it feels hopeless, but with GOD all things are possible.

I totally agree with Chad that Obama will be a gullible instrument for the Anti-Christ.

One reason why George W.Bush was such a thorn in the side of european liberals was that he showed europe that the U.S. was willing to act unilaterally in its foreign policies in order to protect its existence.No soft power there !

But Obama is such a darling of the E.U. that i am certain he will be willing to do everything in his term as president not to antagonise the E.U. on most major issues, from Iran to Israel.

He will either act knowingly or unknowingly to co-operate with the Anti-christ.

One of Satan's goals has always been a weak U.S. versus a strong E.U. The godlessness of Europe has always been very appealing to the Evil one.,which enables the E.U. to fit like a glove on Satan's hand.

I am very distressed with the election outcome. I was talking with my mum earlier today, as we watched the election coverage live, and she was happy to see Obama doing very well in the election. My mum is a Christian, but has a limited understanding of the Spirit and of the warfare and demonic things happening in this world. As we talked, mum said that the main reason why she supported him was because "he's a christian." She also said "I havent heard from anywhere that John McCain is a Christian at all." She based her belief of his Christianity on a speech he had made where he spoke the name of Jesus Christ as if he were a true believer.
I told her that i remained undecided, that i did not choose to take a side. But i have, for a long time, felt very uncomfortable with Barack Obama, and now I am definitely in opposition to him. I can see him being used as a tool for the desires of the Anti-Christ.

I was reminded of the Left Behind series (a book series based on end times prophecy). I have not read the books, but i have seen the first 3 movies recently, and one line particularly stood out to me, where a character in the story said "In fact, I think he's a Christian!" (referring to Nicholai, a world leader who was the Anti-Christ.)

Jesus Himself said that many people will be led astray, many will be deceived. The devil dresses himself as an angel of light in order to decieve us.

I tried to encourage my mum to have some discernment and not believe all that she heard. I told her I was unconvinced that Obama was a Christian, and she attacked me by saying something like "That's a crazy as you saying that I don't know whether YOU are a Christian or not!", but i calmly responded saying that she KNOWS me, she lives with me, and she KNOWS that I am a Christian.

It is only by KNOWING someone, knowing their CHARACTER that we can truly determine if they are trustworthy, if their word is trustworthy, and if they are indeed who they claim to be.

That's a great thing about Jesus! He revealed His character to us, that we may be like Him.

I know many people who claim to be Christians but have no discernment, and will easily be led astray. We need to help them now, so they can stand firm too.

This is happening NOW! It was mentioned today in the exit polls as the election progressed, that more than 90% of the African-American voters had voted FOR Obama. And my mum mentioned that a large majority of the African-American population are Christians!!

Do NOT be deceived my friends, my brothers and sisters in Christ! Do NOT make the mistake of thinking that the things that have been prophesied about (both in scripture and by the Spirit) will not come to pass, or won't happen until after it affects you. This world is changing INCREDIBLY QUICKLY!

A time of great darkness is at hand, and will come VERY soon. We are in the end times NOW.

Let us all learn to discern before placing trust in anyone or anything, and above all, let us draw nearer to the Lord, and break down the barriers that hold us back, the addictions, bad habits and all things that exalt themselves against the knowledge of God.

I am reminded of a story that i heard a while back, somewhat of a parable, about a mother and son on a train. It was the middle of the day, the sun was high in the sky, and the conductor was moving through the train lighting the lanterns. The boy asked his mother why he was doing this, as it was not dark at all. She told him to wait and see what would happen. Before long, they passed through a long, dark tunnel. If not for the lanterns, there would be no light on the train.

We are heading for a long, dark tunnel. We must prepare ourselves NOW, before we reach the tunnel.

The apostles tried to defend Jesus, but remember his answer..He can call legions of angels to help him. So..more than ever is to pray not only for ourselves, repent and strive for Holiness, without which no man shall see God. Pray for our loved ones to come to the knowledge of Christ...

We cannot step the end from drawing near and all the prophesis, every word of God must be fulfilled before the end comes.

Here in Germany Obama is very gladly seen to be president. . .people see him more comfortable, nice and polite, young enough to reach goals he sets and and and . . .He is no thread to anyone seems like. . .actually I didnt see that either till I read more infos about him and what information has been collected already .. .

I am sad today and even worried (although I know that God is incharge, not dissing the Lord just sharing my heart). Thank you Chad for starting this post. I worked at the polls in my town yesterday from 5 a.m. to 10 p.m. In our town McCain won by a landslide. I need to pray. My heart is so heavy.

This morning my husband woke me up and in our morning prayers I heard that Obama is Pres. - elect. Oh how I cried. I know that our Lord is still on the throne & McCain would be imperfect as well. Yet, my spirit is really troubled by Obama. I found reading this whole thread helpful in thinking through this day. And I agree with what was written. I do see that we are closer than ever before to the end (I'm not a usual negative thinker by any means, but really feel strongly about it). I had just finished reading the book of Rev. last week, and see some stuff that seems too much like where we are headed as a world. I do wonder if this is the beginning for real... And a wild thought but maybe not so wild is that this religious freedom we have in the U.S. may be on borrowed time. O Lord Jesus have mercy. Please help us, your people live for your glory and Truth to the end of our days. Please hold us close to you Lord and please help us (Christians) to keep on sharing you with the World. I was bombarded with that same logic in my email this morning from some Christian websites about king saul. I wasn’t sure how the church was going to flip the results with the bible. I knew if Mc cain won, the message would be God didn’t want Obama in power because he wasn’t Christian. If Obama won the church would say he’s the anti -christ. I never thought about saul, which I must say is a good angle.

To say this country is not really Christian when President Obama wins is weird. The reason to elect McCain and palin was to protect Christian values., protect this Christian nation from a supposed muslim. The banner raised repeatedly against President Obama was this is a Christian nation and we the christian people will not allow him to be president. So I’m a bit confused now to hear anyone say this was never really a christian nation when everyone voted based on this country being a Christian nation.

If he didn't win would we say Mc cain was prophecy being fullfilled?
If Obama winning meant the return of Jesus, the end is near..why was so many Christians against it ?
Is it now acceptable as prophecy because we can't do anything to change the results?

If this was prophecy why did we try to change it ?
