End Time Signs 1 - Knowledge Shall Increase
Daniel 12:4 ...'even to the time of the end: many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.'
Throughout history, knowledge has largely been pretty slow in increasing. But look at how knowledge has increased over the past 150 years and during the past 50 years with technology. There has never been an increase in knowledge like the past 50 years. It has happened at such a quick rate over a short space of time. But not only have we seen an increase in secular knowledge, we have seen a great increase in knowledge of God's truth. Especially Bible prophecy, as more and more prophecies are being fulfilled. The truth of Bible prophecy has been opened up like never before. Which was prophesied to happen ..
Daniel 12:9 ...'And he said, Go thy way, Daniel: for the words are closed up and sealed till the time of the end.'

End Time Signs 2 - Ability to Enforce the Mark of the Beast
Revelation 13:17 ...'And that no man might buy or sell, save he that had the mark, or the name of the beast, or the number of his name.'
Now many people tend to focus on natural disasters and wars when looking at end time signs. And yet there are many other important signs that are missed. Take this one for example. In Revelation 13 we are told that the beast system would cause the world to take the mark of the beast. And all those who refuse the mark would not be able to buy and sell. Now for this to be successfully enforced and to stop people from buying and selling, what do we need in place? We need and fully electronic system for buying and selling and for cash to be done away with.
What many people don't realize is that this is a sign of the end times and that we are now in a position with the technology to implement this. Right now, India is undertaking the great task of implementing a biometric ID system for all of it's residents. And cash is slowly being done away with in countries all around the world. Also, an ID card could easily be transformed into a single source for buying and selling. This is surely a sign of the end times.
End Time Signs 3 - God Will Destroy Those who Destroy the Earth
Revelation 11:18 ...'And the nations were angry, and thy wrath is come, and the time of the dead, that they should be judged, and that thou shouldest give reward unto thy servants the prophets, and to the saints, and them that fear thy name, small and great; and shouldest destroy them which destroy the earth.'
Is this a sign of the times today? Most definately! God said in the end He would destroy those who destroy the earth. Now just look at what is happening to this world. In times past, man could not do much damage to the earth. But today, the world is being "destroyed" through war, industry, chemical pollution, oil pollution, depletion of forests and so on. We are living in a time like no other before us, and God is soon to visit His judgments up this world!
End Time Signs 4 - False Christ's and False Prophets
Matthew 24:4-5,11 ...'And Jesus answered and said unto them, Take heed that no man deceive you. For many shall come in my name, saying, I am Christ; and shall deceive many. And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many.'
So one of the signs of the end times is that many false christ's will appear. The problem here is that not only do they appear, but Jesus confirms that they will deceive many. We've had many false prophets coming in Jesus name and deceiving thousands, people like Jim Jones and David Koresh with various cults like, 'Heaven's Gate' cult, the 'Peoples Temple' cult which led nearly 1000 people to death in Guyana. There are also many Bible believing cults, New Age cults, Spiritualist cults, Satanic cults, all sorts that lead many people astray. And why are people deceived by these cults? Because they don't study the Bible for themselves and allow God to teach them the truth of His Word. Today, we have many false preachers and prophets like the leaders of the prosperity gospel movement and the healing movement, like Joel Osteen, Creflo Dollar, Benny Hinn, etc etc, who are leading millions astray!! But Satan may leave His biggest deception right to the end of time, when he impersonates Christ himself. End Time Signs 5 - Wars and Rumours of Wars
Matthew 24:6-7 ...'And ye shall hear of wars and rumours of wars: see that ye be not troubled: for all these things must come to pass, but the end is not yet. For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom.'
War is another sign of the end times. There have been well over 200 wars and conflicts during the past 100 years, and more people have been killed by warfare during the past century than in any other. And with TV news, we now see wars, violence and conflicts being fought all over the world every day. It says in Genesis 6:11 ...'The earth also was corrupt before God, and the earth was filled with violence.' ... God destroyed the earth by flood back in Noah's day, because it was filled with hate and violence. The earth is now filled with hate and violence again, and God will once again destroy this earth soon when Jesus returns, but this time with fire!
End Time Signs 6 - Famine
Matthew 24:7 ...'and there shall be famines.'
We all know of the sadness of the food shortage in Africa. Many people are dying everyday in Africa, and the sad thing is, as these people die because they haven't got enough food, the rest of us live in comfort and luxury, but we still find things to grumble about. The appalling amount of food that is wasted in the western world could feed the hungry. Does that bother you? It should do! This food shortage isn't limited to Africa though. Many people all over the world are suffering from mal-nutrition. Maybe there is someone in need near you!
End Time Signs 7 - Pestilences
Matthew 24:7 ...'and pestilences.'
Let me give you some statistics about HIV/AIDS from 2009. Over 22 Million people have died from AIDS. Over 42 Million people are living with HIV/AIDS. There are 14,000 new infections everyday. (source: Until There's A Cure And now we have this bird flu spreading around the world. The diseases that this world suffers from is certainly one of the signs of the last days. Our sources of food are also being contaminated more and more.
End Time Signs 8 - Earthquakes
Matthew 24:7 ...'and earthquakes, in divers places.'

End Time Signs 9 - Being Killed for Your Faith
Matthew 24:9-10 ...'Then shall they deliver you up to be afflicted, and shall kill you: and ye shall be hated of all nations for my name's sake. And then shall many be offended, and shall betray one another, and shall hate one another.'
The early Christian church was persecuted and many Christians killed at the hands of the Romans. But we find the biggest amount of bloodshed for God's people during the reign of the Roman Catholic Church between 538 - 1798. During this time it is estimated that over 50 million Christians were slaughtered because they would not bow down to Papal authority. (Please note that this estimate is a conservative one). This great persecution will rise again before the end time during the great tribulation. Be ready to give your life for the Lord Jesus Christ. Today, many people in countries like Israel, China, Africa, Russia and Muslim countries are being killed for their faith in Jesus.
End Time Signs 10 - Increased Sin
Matthew 24:12 ...'And because iniquity shall abound, the love of many shall wax cold.'
Take a look around you. Do you see a world abounding in sin? This is surely a sign of the end time. The great principle of marriage that God instituted at creation has been cast down in these end times. There are millions upon millions of babies being born out of wedlock, and the current divorce rate in the developed world is between 40-50% of those married. How about violence? Sex? Homosexuality? Greed? This world is aching under the burden of sin, and God will not allow it to carry on much longer.
End Time Signs 11 - People Shall be Lovers of Themselves
2 Timothy 3:1-5 ...'This know also, that in the last days perilous times shall come. For men shall be lovers of their own selves, covetous, boasters, proud, blasphemers, disobedient to parents, unthankful, unholy, without natural affection, trucebreakers, false accusers, incontinent, fierce, despisers of those that are good, traitors, heady, highminded, lovers of pleasures more than lovers of God; Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.'
Wow! This one is a BIG sign of the times we live in. Do I really need to add anything to this? These verses perfectly describe the world we live in today. These sure are the last days! But notice one thing; It says that people will be lovers of PLEASURE more than lovers of God, and that they will SEEM Godly, but denying the power of God through their worldly living. This unfortunately is the state of the professing Christian world today!
End Time Signs 12 - Gospel Preached to the Whole World
Matthew 24:14 ...'And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.'
This is my favorite sign of the end times. Do you know why? Because it is the only one where Jesus says 'AND THEN THE END SHALL COME'. This gospel message is being spread like the wind across the face of the earth with Missions, Radio, TV, Books, and the Internet. But it's THE TRUE GOSPEL OF JESUS that needs to be preached to the whole world. Not any old gospel message. And this true gospel IS being spread to a world hungry for the truth.
We must be getting close to the true gospel of Christ being preached to the whole world, and once God pours out His Spirit upon His end time people (Hosea 6:3), then the last message will go forth with great power (Revelation 18:1). The end of the world is near my friend, Jesus will return soon, very soon.

Friend, do not be deceived by the many false doctrines and teachings in the world. Study the Bible for yourself. Prove the things you have been told. Check the fruits of those who claim to be people of God. Follow Jesus with all your heart, soul, mind and strength. There is great tribulation coming upon this world for any true follower of Christ, but as Jesus said ... Matthew 24:13 ...'But he that shall endure unto the end, the same shall be saved.' ...
