Two Visions:
2.
Jesus is looking for somewhere to rest safely. Our hearts are like hands in that they form a cup or cradle when we place them slightly cupped and side by side, as if we have been praying with two hands together and then opened them from the thumbs, halfway. BUT He finds that in nearly everyone's hand is something sharp and disturbing; He tries to rest and to feel safe yet He can not be comfortable. Items are in our hands (hearts).
These are things like treachery, being a traitor.
While many offer Him refuge, just as He begins to settle and find comfort He realizes that there is a danger and that He can not stay for He will be betrayed or sold out or pushed out ny the ones He has sought refuge with.
The world is full of evil and while so many portray a meek and humble resting place for the Lamb of God, a refuge from the enemy who seeks to destroy Him, He finds that it is nearly impossible to find a safe place to be.
There is no ease but only disease.
Every falseness and vanity has the nature of betrayal.
All lies and deception that are harbored and spoken, entertained and held on to, are in their nature the very enemy of God and therefore of Christ Jesus the Lord.
Self and selfish motives and lack of agape love (God Love) in it's truest and most holy form are bound to raise up against Him.
As the enemy would hunt Him out, going from door to door, from heart to heart, from head to head, from hand to hand, all unholiness, even in those who think they are walking and talking and living as Christians, who use His name for all manner of charm and identity, the little leaven that leavens the whole lump, will attempt, without hesitation, to reveal His whereabouts and even devour Him.
Many think they are beyond doing any evil towards the King but that is like the youngster who thinks a little heroin will be OK for surely they will not get trapped into it, they will not become addicted to it, oh no, but this is a lie and a corruption that ensnares many.
The question must be, and is most serious for all who merely smile or those who do not care to bother themselves, feeling snug in what they think to be their position, while inwardly are harboring all manner of evil or those too scared to put their whole lives at risk for His name's sake and glory, not for works for Salvation but for works of faith in this crooked and perverse world where flesh is the agent of death and faith is lip-service and a men-pleasing cloak of falsity, and that question is, can you most definitely claim before the King if He were to look into your hand, that He will find total and eternal safety.
He has provided this safety for us.
Can we provide it for Him?
Do we?
