Have any of you heard of the new movie 2012? It's supposed to be about the end of the world or something. Before you jump to conclusions, I don't believe in any of it. I believe that the world will end when Jesus comes, and you won't hear about it on the news or movies or anything. But the movie itself looks cool. I kinda want to see it, but I heard that they are just trying to scare people into believing the world is going to end. I also heard something about some "random lottery" to be rescued from the end of the world. But I don't want to support any of this. What do you think?

Thanks for your post sister. Keep visiting 'talkjesus' and be blessed bu His Love

Of course, I havn't read the review, but from what you said, it sounds interesting to me too. But we will probably laugh at Hollywood's idea of the end of the world. It most likely will not be Bible-based. lol

lol I went to it just for that reason, to see if their depiction of the end of the world was Bible based. The lottery your talking about was actually people selling the tickets for way high prices, billions of dollars. And some were great floods, and the continents shifting, etc. I don't believe the end will be 2012, I believe Jesus will come when He comes. It could be today, tomorrow, years from now, we don't know. It kept me on the edge of my seat, and though they were creative, it's giving the wrong idea about the end of the world. :P

The thing I find the most funny about these end of the world claims is that they are all time sensitive. People continue to ignore the fact that the bible says we dont know the time. " If we knew a theif was coming, we'd stay up all night long waiting." He comes unexpectedly just like the end will come. Are there signs? Yes. Sould we be afraid of an ancient calendar and someone predicted date of the end? No!

We should go about our daily lives living for Jesus and letting God order our steps and when the end comes, we will be ready.

I haven't seen the movie, but do plan to watch it. However, my strong convictions in the word of God won't allow it to shape my outlook on what the end will be like and when it will be.

The movie was very entertaining, but that's all it was. If one is going to watch it, I would suggest they simply enjoy the effects and John Cusack (I love his movies) and not worry to much about the end. After all, we have eternal life to look forward to.

Saw the movie. Was a bit disappointed as I really thought it would be bible based. It was not. As other posters have said, we know not the time or the hour...........and besides, there is NOTHING in the bible regarding the myans and 2012. Pure hollywood hoopla!

Wasnt really that entertaining.. They seemed to be try to qicken it into the 2 hour limit so much so that so many important scenes and depictions were omitted.. Plus the idea was centred upon science and the theory of evolution, rather than religion..
SO, not a good movie in my books.. Okay to watch I guess...It has a positive effect in the sense that it helps remind us in a way that yes, the end is indeed near and we must be prepared at all times..
