I know this for a fact that the Lord will use our suffering to help others. You see, I am going to have Cataract surgery in 2 more days. After I am done with this Surgery and when I heal from it I am going to make a you tube video to help others who may be afraid/ go through anxiety, how to overcome fear. To speak about how the Lord strengthens us and fills us with joy when we overcome. There is Hope in Jesus, Trust and surrender to Him. That is what I will be doing completely. I pray the Lord Jesus will intercede for me when I get this eye done.

How do you know God is allowing your suffering? How do you know he has anything to do with it? I hear this sort of thing all the time and when I ask this question I usually get some pat answer including scriptures that may or may not apply. So I refer you to my question. I'm not being flippant. I really want to know.

Hi Mart, I think we all sometimes take God's love and care for granted, and that's entirely understandable, we can't possibly appreciate the full extent of God's divine intervention in our lives. If we knew our jaws would drop!

2 passages spring to mind -

We cannot even begin to appreciate the lengths God goes to to care for our wellbeing or the depth of His love for us. There are literally no random events that just happen, God is in total control.
