Strange, when it seems a lot of christians knows so much about the "Jewish" people. Especially pertaining to "Israelis". But since Friday, there has not been a discussion.

It got wide coverage on many news services - radio, TV and YouTube.
What is there to discuss other than they were segregated into male and female sections while attending.
Death by being trampled often happens in large religious festivals attracting thousands gathering into concentrated masses.

What I do notice in terms of lack of discussion is that most Christians in wealthy Western countries do not give a minute of concern about the many Christians being attacked and martyred in Africa, India
and Pakistan, China (and harvests human organs) Indonesia, North Korea.
One of our assemblies in Pakistan was attacked by their fellow Muslim townspeople and the pastor and some men were killed. Our assemblies in China have had to go underground and are in mortal danger.

Not a thread on it, but I asked our resident jewish messianic guy on a thread of his, if he knew what led up to it. I am not sure if he ever replies to comments though.

I do understand the "worldly "christianic" view of events, but it would seem that a"biblical view" would be appropriate in light of "Holy Scripture" for Discussion. Unless "christianity" is now become or has transpired into a world's view of things. And Have become the Landscape of modern westernization. And now adopted a thought pattern that has become alienated from the "orthodox". For in my case, "scripture" do come to mind, IN light, pertaining to Jesus, as He spoke to his people, for in this I cannot deny.

Shalom

The brevity of life is on display all around the world; this disaster is another reminder. One for Israel, a messianic outreach and evangelizing group of Jewish men and women living in Israel are trying to reach the lost children of Israel with the gospel message. Their work is priceless, and they are seeing many come to Yeshua. Pray for Israel and for all the lost. Amen.

@PloughBoy -- I Did hear a bit about that on Fox News. Maybe a bridge or tunnel collapsed? There are Lots of things happening all over this world. With all the stuff happening in This country, I was surprised that That made it into the news.

No, it was a religious gathering and their was a stampede of them for some reason, and many were trampled to death by fellow people of the jewish faith.

@ PloughBoy -- okay -- stuff happens all the time -- to Jewish people and Christian people, etc. Are we supposed to get ........? What are we Supposed to be saying?

Does it remind us of a event in the Bible, that Jesus commented on? does any thing come to mind? In the NT.

for what its worth, a friend of mine has been in jewish gatherings of the size and type that happened recently when 45 people died.

the crowd has a mind of its own, you can have waves of pressure and movement.. and be lifted off the ground by the pressure of people jammed up against each other. such things are common, and for a long time in isreal, there were no deaths in such gatherings, but they were frequent in Muslim gatherings of similar size and type.
i wouldn't read into it without a lot more statistical knowledge.

Luke 13:3 No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.
13:4 Or those eighteen on whom the tower in Siloam fell and killed them: do you think that they were worse offenders than all the others who lived in Jerusalem?
13:5 No, I tell you; but unless you repent, you will all likewise perish.”

Bingo! A Child of God. sometimes "Truth" is" Reveal in Jesus Christ" sometimes events of this world becomes "a Biblical Motif"! Not a natural one.
