Hey everyone, I just want to vent about my life, and some things in general, ex porn addicted boy here, been free for about 6 months. Recently found Jesus after a lot of things went down, ive been struggling with my faith and holding onto it for around 3 months, its really difficult for me to bare a lot of things, as I have PTSD. I want friends in life, want a beautiful family in life, and want to be an overall amazing hero, ive saved people’s lives before. Yet at the end of the road nobody ever really comes to check up on how im doing. It just kind of feels like an endless cycle of misery sometimes.

I too have mostly been alone in my walk with Jesus with very little support from my brothers and sisters in Christ.
But as a genuine Pentecostal Christian who has the indwelling Spirit of God with the evidence of praying in tongues I have a friend who is closer than any brother.
Proverbs 18:24 A man of many companions may come to ruin, but there is a friend who sticks closer than a brother.

When a person truly receives the baptism of the Holy Spirit and can pray in tongues then your relationship with God the Father and God our Saviour becomes very personal and intimate.
One is able to cast all of one's burdens, pain and hurts at the feet of Jesus and allow Him to heal and refresh us.

Matthew 11:28 Come unto me, all ye that labour and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest.
29 Take my yoke upon you, and learn of me; for I am meek and lowly in heart: and ye shall find rest to your souls.
30 For my yoke is easy, and my burden light.

It just kind of feels like an endless cycle of misery sometimes.
You need a circuit breaker - the real power of God by his Holy Spirit so that you can overcome all your hassles and woes concerning your life.
1Cor 14:2 For who speaketh in a tongue speaketh not to men, but to God; for no one heareth; but in spirit he speaketh mysteries.
Praying in tongues allows God to heal your soul, and to heal your heart, and to heal your mind, and to heal your body, and to heal your life.
He did so for me, and countless other Pentecostal Christians who have wonderful testimonies to this healing with the peace and joy of God.

he has not been converted yet, Do the work of A EVANGELIST!

PresleyPres you came to the right place! Just stay in there, we must get you to the Real CHRIST, for He is the FRIEND that is CLOSER than A BROTHER! The only way you will know He is real! JESUS MUST REVEAL to YOU HE IS REAL and ALIVE! That is The different between a christian and a "CHILD OF GOD" You will become a complete different CREATURE on THE INSIDE! Not New MIND Not a NEW WAY OF THINKING! YOU MUST HAVE A REAL CONVERSION! AND "WAGGLES" CAN HELP YOU GET THERE! GET HIM TO JESUS BEFORE YOU DISCIPLE him!

i have never spoke in tongues and do not need it, you want the power of the "parakletos" the companion that will be your friend and walk beside you! and then you will not need any friends all the host of heaven will be available to you "the angelic host" is real>

WAGGLES do not disciple him yet, GET HIM TO JESUS first! And JESUS will do the REST!

and Then HE WILL have A TESTIMONY filled WITH POWER from on HIGH!
Surround him with ANOINTED works and ANOINTING SONGS real HOLY ANOINTED. not songs that sound good and people just have nice voices but heavy anointed works. and compelling him to pray that GOD will Give him "THE Holy Spirit" nothing MORE! one step at a time! his is not a PENTECOSTAL moment! I believe a "ELECT of GOD" and He has HEARD The CALLing! But the voice of calling is dim and a far way off.
So must get him into the CLOSE Vicinity, and it seems he is being "DRAWED in by GOD".

"And I will teach you how to be a fisherman of men"

Greetings,

have you read the Gospels?
I ask because you are a 'young' believer so therefore there is a possibility that you have not read a lot of the Bible. I might be completely mistaken, and if so, please forgive me.

I recall my early days and how much reading I did and how much my eyes were opened to the life we have in Christ and the new way of seeing and talking and walking.

Perhaps tell us a little about where you are at on the road.
Know that Jesus never leaves you, even if you 'feel' you are alone.
We do have an enemy and the discouragement can come thick, and usually does... but, the Lord is always there, never pushy but more than willing to grab hold of your hand (as He did with Peter one night at sea) and save you from falling.

The other things, do you have any fellowship. That is important. We need each other in more ways than one.

Thank you for sharing and please get back to me.

Jesus is Lord

Bless you ....><>

Ive read the book of Job, and like 5 books of the new testament, I go to church whenever I can, My problems do slowly fade away whenever I pray to god, during a breakdown, and despite my faith being wobbly, I always do stay with God and believe in his word, it just stresses me out a lot sometimes. As sometimes my mind for some reason naturally wants to go and worship other gods, or do sinful things

Dear Brother, @PresleyPres
First welcome to Talk Jesus an online Community of Believers in Christ Jesus!

Living day to day, and sometimes even moment to moment is the life you're living in Christ Jesus. We Pray, read His Word, and try to put into practice the things we have read. Not always easy, especially as we continue to interact with a World that has no love for our Lord and Savior. Still, we persevere, and march forward in the path that God sets before us. Sometimes we have company, sometimes we're alone just with Him inside of us as an ever-present God. Who loves us and will never forsake us. I notice that you've said you've read Job, and that is good. While another Brother in Christ said to read Ephesians, which is also good. It gives you a greater understanding that it's a battle that we in, and why I tell you as a Disciple of Christ Jesus, that it's a day to day, and even moment to moment life we live. Sometimes, the attacks can appear to be relentless and never ending. Sleep can be almost impossible to get to, and our mind works overtime, and the enemy takes advantage of the very things we have left behind in Christ Jesus. Be it porn, loneliness, or any sin that separates us from the Love of our life Jesus!

Just know you're not in this alone, and that you're not alone in going through the things that you are going through. Just set yourself a habit of doing certain things throughout the day/night. Be it praying, reading God's Word, or even interacting in places like Talk Jesus, which I like to call an Oasis in the darkness that is the internet. Can't find other believers to interact with in real time, then come here, and talk with others. Though most importantly you have who you need already in Christ Jesus!

I'll be praying for you, that you find the peace, and guidance in what He our God, wants of you to do in this life. So, do the prep work by becoming knowledgeable in His Word, so that when the time comes, you can start applying, and helping others who are where you are now. You have some welcoming Brothers & Sisters in Christ Jesus here. Take advantage of that, for we in Christ Jesus, are the Body of Christ, and are the Church!

With the Love of Christ Jesus.

See the kind of behaviors Jesus favors (Matthew 25:31-46)? Find a Church group in your city that really knows that His love is not about some emotion but rather a way of treating others. Then be like Him yourself and join. Become a member but follow JESUS example. Be like Him. Prayerfully study the Bible and trust God will lead. Then after a few months, some (who you now will know) will want you to get involved (do it), you will make a number of real friends.

Hello @PresleyPres,

You started this thread on the 17th of September, it is now the 26th. How are you now? Are you feeling better in yourself?

You say that you 'found Jesus', but the wonderful thing is that it is He that found you. He will never leave you or forsake you my friend, and the work that He has begun in you He will continue to do until the day that He comes. So relax, and rejoice in the knowledge that you are His. Trust Him in all things. Consult Him before the day begins, and commit your way to Him. Read His Word, and give thanks in all things.

Be happy in Him, Presley, for He loves you dearly.
