She peered into the dark November sky, seeing only the light of the stars as they bid her look deeper. The flash of a shooting star caught Emily’s attention as she gazed beyond the stars wishing she could go there. She dropped to her knees feeling the frosty ground beneath. “No more, no more. I cannot take one more ounce of pain. If You can hear me, if You are listening, I am crying out to you from the depths of my heart. Why, Oh Why, is this world so bitter cruel? When, when will it cease to cause me pain and heartache? I must touch Your heart and move You to action on my behalf. I know this is not my home, but my stay here is so challenging.”
Emily felt a touch on her shoulder. The hand sent an electrical feeling racing through her blood. She turned to see a seven-foot Being standing there. The feeling of well being and comfort flooded her soul. “Behold, I have a message from the Way Maker. He cares so deeply for your every tear. See, He has gathered every tear that has fallen on your behalf. No more will you struggle trying to climb up from this valley. You will run with ease now. I Am enlarging your territory. Your faith in me has shown true.”
Emily looked back over her shoulder and the Angel was gone as quickly as he had appeared. No more did she feel the cold, cruel night. She was warmed by the Hope she had been given. No longer did the huge, empty void within her cry out. She was full to overflowing with Power, Strength and Grace to ‘Rise up and prevail through His strength.’
