A Prayer for Revival
For some time I’ve thought, as we near the end of the age of Grace, the great revivals were a thing of the past. I’ve thought we are the ones who are left with the gleanings of the Harvest before Christ’s return. I felt that the next Great Revival will be when the Angels spread the Gospel to all the earth during Daniel’s Seventieth Week.
I was wrong. I was wrong because I’ve put a limit on what our God can/will do if His children will pray.
2 Chronicles 7:14 states: If my people, which are called by my name, shall humble themselves, and pray, and seek my face, and turn from their wicked ways; then will I hear from heaven, and will forgive their sin, and will heal their land.
With that on my heart I offer this prayer:
Heavenly Father,
Thank You for Your love, mercy and care. Thank You for our salvation which was freely given through the sacrifice of Your Son.
Father, with humbleness we thank You for allowing us before Your Throne of Grace and ask that You hear our prayers.
I lift up Your church before You and ask that You renew Your Holy Spirit in us so we hear Your voice. Give us strength, courage and wisdom in these final hours to spread Your Word of salvation and hope to a godless world.
Let those who have left our first love seek it once again. Help us return to the message You’ve commanded us: to seek out the lost and to look forward to Your Son’s return.
As we see the things You’ve told us of old come to pass we rejoice. Please let it encourage us as never before to spread the Gospel. I ask You send Your Holy Spirit to revive us and rekindle the light He has placed in each of us.
Use us please while Your Spirit is still restraining the wickedness that is to come. Let there be a great revival across our lands, let souls be saved so You will be glorified.
Father, we know You can do all things and I ask You hear our prayers in that Your will may be done. You have told us The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffering to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
We Praise and Thank You Father for hearing our prayers. I pray Your will be done and I ask these things in the Your Son’s Holy Name,
Amen
