A question about the history of hell

I have a question and I would be very greatful if anyone can answer it please .

I understand that the devil is a fallen angel and the ruler of hell but what happened to bad people when they died, where did they go before the devil fell?

In chapter 3 of Genesis, before any human had sinned, according to AMP atleast, Satan had already been tossed out of heaven.

Hi angelwaive, I'd love it if more people could comment on this question, I don't have biblical answers for you, but I wasn't raised and tought Satan is the ruler of hell, I doubt he is.

I haven't read it in the Bible either.

Hell is a place God created, there are many different factors that come into play, I doubt God will make something and let Satan rule over it. I think it's a common misconception from people, to imagine Satan standing in hell with a pitchfork etc.

Satan is on earth, he is not in hell. He will go to hell one day, but he's not there yet
