Behold what manner of love the Father has bestowed on us, that we should be called children of God! Therefore the world does not know us, because it did not know Him. 1 John 3:1 NKJV

Many Christians struggle with the idea of God being their loving heavenly Father. They're okay with "Lord and Savior," but a God who so loves them that He calls them His very own children? For some, that can be a tough one to grasp.

A man's memories of his earthly father often color his impressions of God. And when that earthly father falls short in fulfilling his role as a dad, it makes it difficult for a man to fully embrace the idea of a God who loves him as a father loves his child. Yet the Bible makes this clear in both the Old Testament and the New Testament.

Even the very best earthly fathers are imperfect, fallen human beings prone to making mistakes. But it's not that way with God. He's perfect in every way, including in His fatherly love for His people. His love is like nothing even the very best earthly father can pour out on his children.

God has repeatedly identified Himself as your loving heavenly Father. You can trust Him to love you as His valued son

Prayer: Loving heavenly Father, thank You for pouring out Your love on me, a love so deep and broad that you consider me Your child.

Thank you for sharing this message brother.

God's Love is so deep, so high, so wide, it is impossible to measure. It is an amazing love, that whilst we were still sinners Christ died for our sins, because God so Loved the world He had created.

We are, as saved souls, God's children, adopted into His family, a promise, a guarantee on inheritance, such grace, such love brother.

Acts 20:32 (NKJV)
So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.

Ephesians 1:11-14 (NKJV)
In Him also we have obtained an inheritance, being predestined according to the purpose of Him who works all things according to the counsel of His will, that we who first trusted in Christ should be to the praise of His glory. In Him you also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation; in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise, who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased possession, to the praise of His glory.

Thanks be to God in Jesus Name, Amen
