I'd like to offer a word of encouragement and hope for those who have been waiting a long time for answers to prayer. Never give up hope on what God has promised you. Those promises He gave you, cling to them, no matter how many years pass by. No matter what anyone else tries to tell you hold fast to what God has promised. He will always deliver on what He has promised.
Just 5 years ago I was suffering from agoraphobia and panic attacks. I had the panic attacks for about 23 years, 18 of those I was confined to my house with agoraphobia. During those years I had many promises from God, and despite others telling me there was no hope, I clung to those promises.
One of those was Joel 2:25 "So I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, The crawling locust, The consuming locust, And the chewing locust, My great army which I sent among you."
My testimony could be summed up in short by Psalm 34:1-10 "I will bless the LORD at all times; His praise shall continually be in my mouth. My soul shall make its boast in the LORD; The humble shall hear of it and be glad. Oh, magnify the LORD with me, And let us exalt His name together. I sought the LORD, and He heard me, And delivered me from all my fears. They looked to Him and were radiant, And their faces were not ashamed. This poor man cried out, and the LORD heard him, And saved him out of all his troubles. The angel of the LORD encamps all around those who fear Him, And delivers them. Oh, taste and see that the LORD is good; Blessed is the man who trusts in Him! Oh, fear the LORD, you His saints! There is no want to those who fear Him. The young lions lack and suffer hunger; But those who seek the LORD shall not lack any good thing."
Believe me, this past 5 years God has been giving me back those years the locust had eaten, in many more ways than I could ever have imagined. He is an AWESOME God.
Now - all praise, honour and glory to God - I am getting ready to fly to the United States in just over 2 weeks time for my sons wedding. Over 7 hours flight, then a 4 hour drive. If you just knew how wonderful this is. If you had seen me all those years in total fear, not getting past my own garden and saw me now you would know how awesome this is. Father I stand in total awe of You.
