Alien

T’wer Sunday morning, I got to church
I wandered in to find my perch
But when I found my usual pew
Imagine what came into view
An alien in my posterial place
Where I did rest my weary base.

Shocked is how I felt that day
A gert big Anglican in my way
So off I stomped, aflame with pride
To find a place where I could hide
Forgiveness, it did not exist
Another name upon my list

The Lord, He came, and had a chat
I felt just like a spoilt brat
It seems that I had made Him sad
By worldly thoughts, cause I was mad
Repenting quickly, I was spared
The King of love, He really cared.

Years ago , I was on my way to church ! My wife was begging me to buy her a pop and candy bar! I told Her i only had $2.00 to get gas for work and I could not get my check without gas to get to work ! But She keep begging ! I stopped at a store and got all I could ! and the kids [4] Shared what i could get and of course My wife got Her own candy bar and soda!

I went up to the altar and prayed . telling the lord i had done wrong and needed gas to get to work !
God had sent a Angels to give me money ! after church the angel ran over too me and took my hand and put a ten dollar bill in it ! I push it back into HIs hand and said ? I do not need this ! He said ? Yes you do and I must gice it to you !
I took it and walked away , telling the LORD I was sorry for lying !

I guess I thought God was going to drop it out of the sky or make it suddenly appear or something ?
i could have asked that angel a lot of questions and learned lots ?
But instead I acted childish ! I do not really know why ?

IT amazing how quickly He answers us at times and other times appears to take much longer or not at all ?

Of course HE knows what best Always and We much trust in Him 1 after all ? HE loves us more than we love our selves and knows the future perfectly !

One day i was on my way home on my bicycle and The LORD Said go to this supermarket and buy groceries for you and him (a poor man standing in front of the supermarket) i said ok but i have no money! all empty! God Said just GO

i had been stupid and disobeyed and did not go when God Told me to GO do as He Said so i went to the poor man standing there instead of going inside and when i walked over to him (because i had no money!) at that moment he said LOOK there on the floor 20 Euro bill (other people that saw it picked it up)

IF i had obeyed The LORD i would have seen the 20 euro right in time for groceries for me 10 and for the poor man 10 divided

GLORY TO GOD money out from nothing on the street

Thanks for the story, it just goes to show how easy it is to miss The Lords prompting. How many times have I done the same.

I was wondering whether your poem was based on a true story....that someone had been sitting on your pew in church?

I remember feeling the same once....when someone took the back row.....where we always sat with all our children.
How dare they I thought....so ungraciously, Im sure I glared at them
They turned out to be the most loving humble family
I learned a lot about my pride, haughtiness and their gentle humility

Prove all things: hold fast that which is good

It's not a true story, when we have baptisms we have to move towards the back anyway, so it doesn't upset me.
