I used to think that Alzheimer and Dementia were one in the same thing.
I recently found out that you have Alzheimer before you get Dementia.
My Dad passed away from end stage dementia which is something that you can actually live with if caught in time up to a guess of 20 years.
My Dad was diagnosed in 2007 and passed Dec.15, 2010 at the age of 82.
This disease has to be the saddest disease I know of to watch someone go through.
I couldn't stress it enough to please you have a loved one that is elderly have them go through a routine visit with a doctor and have them tested. With the correct medication and caught in time you could prolong life and enjoy that extra time that God has bestowed upon you.
There are lots of links that you may go to if needed to research on this disease. Don't hesitate if you believe someone may have this.
