"For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places." (Eph 6:12)
The battle we are in is a spiritual one, not a physical one.
"the battle is the LORD's..." (1 Sam 17:47)
But the Lord will take care of us if we submit to Him.
If you believe Christ died on the cross for your sins you need to pray and ask Him into your heart forever. Ask Him to guide you according to His will for your life.
"...they cried out to God in the battle. He heeded their prayer, because they put their trust in Him. " (1 Chr 5:20)
"Now salvation, and strength, and the kingdom of our God, and the power of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren, who accused them before our God day and night, has been cast down. And they overcame him by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony, and they did not love their lives to the death." (Rev 12:10-11)
Many have testimonies of experiencing spiritual warfare in their lives, but when they submitted to the Lord's Will they received His protection.

Finally, listen to your conscience and read your Bible. If it feels wrong, it probably is wrong.
Satan and his angels come in many forms and guises. He can't attack you if you resist him in the name of Jesus. If what you do is forbidden in the bible, you will do well to leave it alone. Satan will invite you into his lair with lies and deciept. Ask the Holy Spirit to come into your life. He will indwell you and protect you.

in addition to what syrana posted, i want u to know that he whom the SON has set free is free indeed. that is what the bible says. if u truly believe and have accepted Christ as ur Lord & Saviour u need not worry 4 u already are victorious in Christ. At calvary He said it is finished. scriptures also tell us in the book of 1john5:4 that WHATEVER IS BORN OF GOD OVERCOMES THE WORLD.AND THIS IS THE VICTORY THAT OVERCOMES THE WORLD - OUR FAITH.

(Eph 6:12). know it today yhat the battlefield is the mind/soul of the bliever and bible tells us that the devil is alier and the father of lies. he will try to make u believe all sorts about urself but what God says about u is the only truth and that is what u should believe. you align with God's truth by renewing ur mind(roman 12:1&2).you renew ur by studying God's word and trusting in Him 4 understanding. by this u learn what God says about things that bother you. i advice u to find a church where the word of God is given ffree course. y this i mean where the word takes preeminence( not just the letter but the spirit).God will grant u wisdom.
pls don't base any of ur decsions in this regard on emotions. be wise and be fearful for nothin for God will guide cos He loves u like no other & hi steadfast love nea ceaseth

Hello Jen. I notice that you have been a christian eight or nine years now. That is lovely, and as you walk with Jesus, and read the bible, the more of His light will shine upon your path.
You inform us that you have been involved in things which are not Christian. Remember such activity is in the past, you are now a child of God. If you feel, that something is still 'hanging on'........I would suggest that you ask Christian friends to pray with you. You will know that Jesus has all power. Nothing can withstand His Name
Prayer will bring Victory over all these things

Oh my goodness!! You are so right! I was being waay to sarcastic, and waaay too rude! Omigosh... that is seriously so unlike me! For real, i just cant believe i wrote that... its just, well horrible!

Now i havnt been online for a while, (Sorry, otherwise i would have written this sooner) so im going to bring this post right back from the second page to the beginning! I feel i just have to apologise and make this public on this site, because yeah, i wasnt thinking when i wrote the last post...
i should explain... really.. Last time i was online... it was really late, and i was going through a rough time, and i remember i couldnt sleep... my mind was all over the place.. I wasnt me.. i wasnt thinking...I wasnt eating properly... Obviously all that affected me, in a way that i would just say all these things and look like an idiot doing it.. I cant remember what i wrote, but geeze, those few lines displayed there... Gosh! Thats bad! Thats really really bad, and i feel terrible!!

Ok... now i still want to respond to this.. Because i do think im onto something..
I dont think that the Devil is behind this one.. (the wierd things happening to the poster jen) Why? Because she's a christian, right? Therefore she's filled with the holy spirit... so i just cant understand how the devil may get into her head and make her see things like this... .. It just couldnt happen.. Because she is protected, right?
Now im not going to rant on and on about third eyes and whatever, because that is of another religion.. (and i know that this may offend some christians bringing something of another religion...and i apologise for doing that last time)..,-so im not even going to go there... however, could it be possible that this may have happenned due to meditation..?
Just a thought.. I know that meditation can be powerful sometimes, and ive heard many cases where people can have move vivid dreams, and predictions due to it.. (and last time i checked, there was nothing unchristian aout meditation... actually its recommended, right?... health benifits.. all that) correct me if im wrong tho..

johnpaul is totally right. Satan is a master of engineering seduction. That is how he does war. And if he can find a way of trying to seduce us into doing something Bad, then he'll be onto it with afterburners.
There are (according to Strongs exausting concordance of the Bible) two greek words that are translated to medititation in the NT(KJV).
one entry has: "to take care of, i.e. (by impl.) revolve in the mind: - imagine, (pre-) meditate.
The other says: to pre-meditate:- to meditate before.
I think that these words wern't intended to conjure up images of people sitting in uncofortable positions, babbling about enlightenment and saying "oommm" alot. I did Karate for over five years, an I used to be at the Dojo Sixteen hours a week, and I know that meditation can be a powerful thing, but the kind of meditation where you become so focoused as to smash that stack of tiles that should normally break your hand, to take away the stress of work, or to commune with spirits is in no way relying on God and is what is what I think is termed "the futillity of their minds" in Ephesians 4:17.
