There just seem to be - way - to many hypocrites today!

So many people wanting to believe in hear say instead of seeing or finding out the truth for themselves!

To many people picking favorites Everyone believing in Jesus (Christ) but not wanting to follow Him, some listen to Him -> in one ear & out the other.

But still expect to be saved, anyway!

And I find myself to be no-better then they are.

Though my heart struggles & want to do what is right.

Some times I find myself wanting - to (somehow) escape this wicked system that surrounds us all.

But where can I go?

Some times I just want to be alone with The Almighty God - but it seems & feels like there is no-place for me to go - to do so.

Some times I find myself becoming overly sensitive - which in turn brings out my own sinful nature!

But I have come to realize, that know matter what my struggle is - I will not give up this FIGHT - in HOPE to serve The Almighty God, to walk with HIM - to be come what ever it is that HE wants me to be.

I will not give up this FIGHT against Satan!! [COLOR] *genesis!

"Then he returned to his disciples and found them sleeping. 'Simon,' he said to Peter, 'Are you asleep? Could you not keep watch for one hour? Watch and pray so that you will not fall into temptation. The spirit is willing, but the flesh is weak.'" (Mk 14:37-38 emphasis mine).

Jesus spoke these words to Simon Peter, a disciple who would become one of the pillars of the first century church, in the Garden of Gethsemane. Like Simon Peter, we begin our discipleships with feet of clay and, while the clay may harden over time, it is still clay. While we grow to be more and more Christlike as time goes on, we will continue to be human.

I have similar thoughts but we have to remember that Jesus has already won and I think what SpiritLedEd posted had a good point.

I was once told that its ok to be a human, which I agree with but I find it more peaceful to be meek. Well I dont know how that sounds, sorry if I misunderstood something.

Jonah this is a very good post, I myself thought that I had to become something or someone else to be able to be a good Christian while God wanted me to be only myself.

Yes we are still just humans and SpiritLedEd I appreciated the part where you say:
Like Simon Peter, we begin our discipleships with feet of clay and, while the clay may harden over time, it is still clay. While we grow to be more and more Christlike as time goes on, we will continue to be human.

It is a real eye opener to me personally because I still strive sometimes to have feet of steel instead of clay, like I actually have.

Blessings!

Thank you SpiritledEdd & all of you, for your replies.

What you say makes good sense!

Life is tough sometimes, but The Almighty GOD & Christ Jesus do help me see it through.

I just want to do everything right that's all - because I know the teachings of Christ Jesus & the teachings of Proverbs & yet my so-called bad habits still get in my way.

Will my bad habits ever go away?

Isn't there a scripture that says;
"Woe to those who know my words, but do not do as I say." ' ? '

Jonah:

You are a perfectionist and every perfectionist I've ever known has been obsessive about it, just as you seem to be. To them, imperfection is abhorent and to be an imperfect human means being "less than" or "not as good as ..." in God's eyes.

God's standard for righteousness is way beyond our human reach. He took the steps that were necessary to draw us to Himself, to make true believers righteous:

"For in the gospel, a righteousness FROM GOD is revealed, a righteousness that is by FAITH from first to last, just as it is written 'The righteous will live by faith.'" (Ro 1:17;Habbakuk 2:4)

"For it is by GRACE you are saved, through FAITH - and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God - not by works so that no man can boast." (Eph 2:8-9)

Lighten up on yourself. You love the Lord and He knows it. Therefore, you a righteous in His sight.

Thank you SpiritLedEdd, for your words.

Many people have said that I'm to hard on my self, and therefore I should lighten up on myself.

I've never been called an perfectionist. At least not to my knowlage.

But maybe you hit it right on the dot!

I just want to be a righteous {woman} prophrt as much as anyone who truly wants to Worship our Almighty Father.

I don't want to be a false or blind prophet, with a thorn in my eye trying to remove the thorn that's in my brother's/sister's eye, only to find that I can't even move the from my own eye.

Remeber what Jesus said in Matthew 7:3?
