American nightclubs becoming very shady and potentially sinful.

A long time ago, nightclubs were so much better. They played a lot of pretty decent music. Classic rock and roll, a little Spanish and country here and there, slow songs even.

But during the 2010s decade, things have been really crashing with the nightlife scene all over America. Numerous nightclubs have phased out the classic oldies and have started playing a lot of rap as their new mainstream music. Rap is that kind of music that has all the profanity in it and the glorification of the gangster life and illegal drugs, rap is literally of Satan himself. It is also a subgenre of hip hop, hence people water it down by calling it hip hop. Rap is also apparently immensely widespread in the college nightlife atmosphere, especially during so-called "college nights" at certain bars and clubs.

In another thread, someone asked if clubbing was a sin. Well, with rap taking over as the new mainstream music at clubs all over the place, I am starting to think that yes it is a sin, unless you go to country nightclubs where the mainstream music is mostly country, and it especially appears that country nightclubs are the only clubs left in America that don't play rap as their mainstream.

I doubt many here go to any night clubs I can not remember the last time I went to one, the very thought of it is revolting for me.

Many years ago I use to play music professionally in night clubs. Girls loved band members, and men would go to try and pick up the girls that were trying pick up musicians. Get high, stoned, drunk and anything else that would try to deaden the pain of life with out God. The Bible describes this kind of life style.

Eph 4:17 This I say therefore, and testify in the Lord, that ye henceforth walk not as other Gentiles walk, in the vanity of their mind,
Eph 4:18 Having the understanding darkened, being alienated from the life of God through the ignorance that is in them, because of the blindness of their heart:
Eph 4:19 Who being past feeling have given themselves over unto lasciviousness, to work all uncleanness with greediness.

The Greek words for "past feeling" means " to become callous, to have ones senses deadened." The Greek word used here is where we get the English word, ""analgesic" is derived, meaning that which takes away pain.
What people are using to take their pain away is "lasciviousness" which means, "debauchery, sexual excess, absence of restraint, insatiable desire for pleasure." This can usually eventually lead to death. If I would have kept going in this kind of environment, and life style I would have been dead a long time ago. Thank God for his mercy, and grace!!!

Ummm. there's quite a chunk of country music that is just as sexually promiscuous as rap, 80's hair metal, or any other genre.

Scripture does not support patronizing night clubs. Doesn't matter what decade or location.

A Christian should not seek to conform oneself to the world, which would be done by patronizing nightclubs.

Holy Bible - 2 Corinthians 6:14-18
Christians are to go out from the unbelievers and be separate from them. That means actually living together as roommates and neighbors - apart and away from unbelievers.

A place to do this does not currently exist. It is possible to separate believers from unbelievers, but churches won't do this as they are nearly full of unbelievers, servants of satan. And they want the unbelievers around believers to harm them.
