I really just have to testify here. I've been saved and walking with Him for 25 years, but He just never ceases to amaze me! Our Lord reigns!
As would have it, I did not feel comfortable going to my church today because of something personal that occurred there last Sunday and Wednesday. All week long, the Lord kept telling me He wanted me to visit this other church called Tabernacle of the Living God. I've been driving by that church for 20 years but I don't know anyone there. I had heard that it was a Pentecostal Church.
I'm pretty comfortable in Pentecostal churches so I showed up at 10:30 because I didn't know when the service would start.
After Sunday School was over, a young man walked up to me and smiled and shook my hand.
"Bryan?" I said, surprised. Bryan and his girlfriend lived on the other side of the duplex in the old house where my son and I lived from March 2012 until September 2013. The reason we moved out, is because after my son and I being sick for 6 months, Bryan and his girlfriend were busted for a methamphetamines lab on September 20, 2013. The thing is, I knew there was something wrong but I didn't know where to go at the time and what to do. I constantly prayed for Bryan because I sensed after talking to him that he had known the Lord at one time.
Also, I prayed a prayer almost daily that went something like this: Dear Lord, give us a home with no shared walls and strong walls and doors without cracks in them, and grass all around it. Thank You, Lord.
On Sept 20, 2013, while I was at work, my neighbors were busted for methamphetamines lab. They were running a major operation and dumping toxins under the house through re-routed plumbing techniques that drug manufacturers use to get rid of toxins secretly. Caleb and I were breathing them. They were being dumped under the house in between our neighbor's bathroom and our bathroom. But then I didn't know that until later.
Back to TODAY. Today I saw Bryan at this church I was visiting, of all places! I asked him, was he okay. He smiled and said he was, and said that he had grown up in this church and now he was back.
Then in about 5 minutes, Bryan came up behind me and put his hand gently on my shoulder. "Where is your little boy?" he said.
"He is with his dad this weekend," I answered.
Very softly, Bryan spoke to me, saying, "I want to tell you and your son that I am so very sorry for what I did."
I told him, "Sometimes our mistakes bring us to where we need to be. I've made many mistakes. My mistakes our different than yours, but I do not judge. I'm so glad you are doing well."
So that's my first miracle of today. I actually had another miracle after church. But I may share that later, if anyone is interested.
