This past sunday, while i sat in church, our priest gave a wonderful sermon regarding lazurus. While Jesus had told his disciples that he had fallen asleep, they didn't think in death but Jesus knew what was to be done. He removed the stone and summoned to lazurus "to come out". And so he walked out, after having died 4 days prior. We all can relate to this event and place us in lazurus position. There are many times in our lives when we are dead in christ and we retreat to our cave and hide in fear. Perhaps we are doing something that is worldy and we wouldn't want our lord to see it. Sooner of later, he is going to come down the path and remove the stone we placed on our cave. He is going to call out to us and demand we wake up from our dead state.

We must listen to the lord because he knows whats best for us and its truly an important lesson when the lord demands you listen. God bless you friends and know that we can never stay dead to christ but must obey his voice and arise to his attention.

God bless you all and have a wonderful day :D:love:

Jesus knew what he would do! As you say "The Lord knows what is best for us" There is not a situation He cannot handle. I am so glad about this. It gives confidence to all who follow Him.

I once heard a preacher say that it was a good thing that Jesus said "Lazurus come forth" calling his name. Had Jesus simply said "Come forth" as he stood by the tomb, there is no telling just how many would have left their last resting place, and stepped forward from the grave.

I loved your post, I'm very amazed by lazurus story.
When Mary and Martha ran to Jesus for his help, crying he didn't tell them " It'll be Okay, stop crying " cause he didn't want to disrespect their sorrow, instead he weeped.

He stayed silent because he KNEW it'll be Okay, Jesus knew lazurus will come to life again, but he didn't comfort them, he didn't need to.

That reminds me when I run to Jesus with all my burdens and cry, he doesn't just tell me " Stop, It'll be okay..." he cries with me but he always knows his plans for us, that's why he doesn't tell us " It'll be Okay..."

we cannot possibly hide anywhere from Christ, He sees all and knows all The very best thing to do is repent straight away and forget about trying to hide, why prolong it.
We must earnestly repent though, because we will have hated so much what we did, we will want to do so as quick and as fast, as in meaning to take it to the Lord, as possible.
