Another questions, please.

I do not believe so, but I do not know nor have any Scripture to back my belief up, on this particular subject.

Do you believe there are more parts to the Holy Bible that have yet to be found? If so, what has made you come to believe this? If you do not believe there are more parts to the Holy Bible yet to be found, please tell me how you have come to this conclusion? Please share any Scripture you have found to back up your belief.

4givN&hope4U, this is a very difficult question to answer. As an apologetics student, I can say that to answer your question completely will be a very lengthy post. However there are a couple of things that can be clarified here and if you would like a more indepth study I will be happy to send you some of my study material.

The Holy Bible is the complete compilation of all canonical scripture. There are many other discovered writings from the times of the old testament and new testament that are not included in the The Holy Bible. Although these writings have a genuine historicity, for various reasons they are not canonical.

Many of the non-canonical writings of the time periods before the birth of Christ are compiled into a book called " The Apocrypha. There are also many writings of the time period after the crucixion of Jesus Christ that remain non-canonical. The Gospel of the birth of Mary, The Gospel of Thomas, The Gospel of Nicodemus, The Gospel of Peter the Apostle, An epistle of Paul the Apostle to the Laodiceans, The epistle of Paul the Apostle to Seneca, The Acts of Paul and Thecla, Clement 1&2 and many others. So many in fact that the writings of first eight centuries had to be compiled into 38 volumes.

If you are seeking Spiritual growth then the books of canonized scripture which make up the Holy Bible are all you need. If you are also interested in the history of the Church then there are many, many books to explore. Please be careful if you decide to research these other writings, some of them do contain heresy(the traditons of man). Always be led by the Holy Spirit and allow Him and Him only to reveal the Truth. Let me know if you would like some of my study material. God Bless

I asked the question because other Christians have shared with me that they believe there are other books to the Holy Bible that have not been found, yet.

They believe, in God's perfect timing, they will be revealed.

The problem I am having with this is that, most who believe this, are believing that things they believe, now, are from or of God but are not recorded as being from or of God in the Scriptures we already have. They believe they will be revealed to be true or from or of God when God has the other parts to be found.

In the mean time, my question is:

"God, if You have more out there that we need to know, how are we going to know if you have not revealed it to us, yet?"

Also, if there is more to be revealed at the proper time, and this be not the proper time, people would not be experiencing things written in those, yet to be revealed parts, would they? And if they are experiencing things that are yet to be revealed by other Scripture, how can we know this, in order not to be deceived?

Don't the Mormons believe that they have another book of Scripture that coincides with what we have and have had for centuries?

I'll guess, jiggyfly, as you said "BY THE HOLY SPIRIT".

Yet, we have to test the spirits to see whether they are from God or not - how can we do this if we do not have all of Scripture to compare it with?

Also, It bothers me to think that God has more out there, for this day and age, that He hasn't revealed yet. How can we witness to people and give them the complete truth if we do not have it yet, ourselves?

Like, a lot of people believe that there is more than ONE WAY to heaven. According to the Scripture parts we have, now, there is ONLY ONE WAY.

There would not be other Scripture to say otherwise, certainly! (?)

But just as the Old Testament was here, and the New Testament later,...

these are my concerns.

Do I really need to be concerned?

By the way, what is "canonical"?

I will look it up later but if you could tell me right away, it would help others when they read this.

canonical: to conform to a set or group of prinicples or standards in a certain field of study.

By studying God's Word we can understand certain character traits of God. For instance God cannot lie, God is faithful, holy, just and full of mercy. We can know that God is omnipotent and creative. So in knowing these qualities of God, we can conclude that God will never run out of new things to do but they will be governed by His other character traits. So with this in mind, look at this scripture, John 16:12-14

12*I have yet many things to say unto you, but ye cannot bear them now. 13*Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come. 14*He shall glorify me: for he shall receive of mine, and shall shew it unto you.

God is always doing a new thing and the Holy Spirit is always revealing it, so that we can stay instep with the progression of the Kingdom of God. We have enough written Word that with the help of the Holy Spirit, we can discern what is and isn't God. One day when we are free of our carnal mindsets and continually in the presence of the WORD we will no longer need a written confirmation, but for now it is needful.

If there are books "missing" from the Bible, then it is obvious to my personal beliefs that they were not intended to be there, otherwise, they would be there. GOD is not trying to hide His Holy Word from us...
