Hi all. I’m hoping for some advice so I can stop living in fear. Lately, I have been scared that I’m not truly saved. I’ve had people say “you know when you’re saved” and that scares me even more. I said the prayer of salvation, but when I did that, I was a young child. Also, I’ve never started having these fears/thoughts until I got an anxiety disorder. I’m wondering if that’s another thing that causes my worrying about this? I believe in God, and I believe and follow the Bible from the beginning until the end. But for some reason, I’m terrified that I’m not saved. Does anyone have any advice or tips on how I can get over this fear and have no doubt that I’m saved? Thank you very much.

Greetings,

please read some of these Scriptures and allow the truth of them to minister to you all the riches of His mercy and grace in Jesus Christ the Lord

But what does it say? “The word is near you; it is in your mouth and in your heart,” that is, the word of faith we are proclaiming: that if you confess with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised Him from the dead, you will be saved. For with your heart you believe and are justified, and with your mouth you confess and are saved.

It is just as the Scripture says: “Anyone who believes in Him will never be put to shame.” For there is no difference between Jew and Greek: The same Lord is Lord of all, and gives richly to all who call on Him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”

Romans 10:8-13

Jesus said,
Verily, verily, I say unto you, He that believeth on Me hath everlasting life.
John 6:47

Truly, truly, I tell you, whoever hears My word and believes Him who sent Me has eternal life and will not come under judgment. Indeed, he has crossed over from death to life.
John 5:24

And we have seen and do testify that the Father sent the Son to be the Saviour of the world.
Whosoever shall confess that Jesus is the Son of God, God dwelleth in him, and he in God.

1John 4:15

Even if we accept human testimony, the testimony of God is greater. For this is the testimony that God has given about His Son. Whoever believes in the Son of God has this testimony within him; whoever does not believe God has made Him out to be a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has given about His Son.

And this is that testimony: God has given us eternal life, and this life is in His Son. Whoever has the Son has life; whoever does not have the Son of God does not have life

1John 5:9-12

For God so loved the world, that He gave His only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in Him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
John 3:16

Bless you ....><>

Hello sky,

Sometimes the best weapon of the enemy against us is our agreement to him.

So always choose to agree on what God says about you and your identity on Him as His child :)

(Psa 71:16) I will go in the strength of the Lord GOD: I will make mention of Thy righteousness, even of Thine only.
(Psa 71:17) O God, Thou hast taught me from my youth: and hitherto have I declared Thy wondrous works.
(Psa 71:18) Now also when I am old and grayheaded, O God, forsake me not; until I have shewed Thy strength unto this generation,
and Thy power to every one that is to come.'

Hello @sky78001,

I was a twelve year old, when I first acknowledged my need of a Saviour, and recognised, in the person and work of the Lord Jesus Christ, the One Whom God had provided to be my Saviour, and give me the hope of eternal life, in Him. I am 71 yrs old now, and can testify to the fact that though my understanding of what occurred that day, way back in 1960 was very limited, that God accepted me in Christ Jesus, and began a work in me, that has continued since that day, and will continue until the day of Christ. I believe this, not because I have felt it, not because I have seen it, but because He has said so in His Word.

There were times when, I, like yourself, suffered from anxiety and doubted my salvation, but that did not interfere with His faithfulness towards me. He continued to encourage and strengthen my faith, through the reading of His Word, until I became increasingly more confident and assured in Him. He saves to the uttermost all who come to Him for salvation, by His grace, through faith in the all-sufficient sacrifice of His Beloved Son.

So, my friend, just rest in Him, give thanks to Him for what you know He has done for you, praise Him in all circumstances, and trust Him to keep His Word to you, in Christ Jesus your Lord and Saviour, for He has promised and will do it.

In Christ Jesus
Chris
