Umm...I have come to ask a question about some good entertainment. As ya'll know I was one of the people on the Harry Potter board saying I found nothing wrong with it even when a lot of people gave valid evidence against it. I'm just here to ask if anyone has any alternative to movies like that? I mean Ive seen plenty of movies like the Passion of the Christ and the Nativity Story but is there anything else I can watch that isn't...well...evil?

That is a hard one.For the most part Hollywood does not have anything anything to offer.Amazing grace is a good movie.

Amazing Grace sound really good but i never got to see it because i don't think it showed in my movie theater. I am almost positive i'll see that movie when it comes out on DVD because my mom is dying to see it =). A Walk to Remember is just one of those movies that i heard was really good and i never got around to watching it. I need to though. The only problem is i know whats going to happen in the end. What do ya'll think about the new western movie 3:10 to Yuma? Do ya'll think thats worth seeing?

I'm not into westerns but so far the reviews seem good, but its rated R for violence and some language.

oh thats true hmm...i was just asking because i am the same way i am not into westerns but it has Russell Crowe and Christain Bale in it and they are really good actors and the storyline looks ok. Anyway i'll wait on that one.

Yeah I like Russell Crowe ,the story is good I think its a remake of an old movie.
But you know they always have to spoil it for us by adding those unnecessary words.

Facing the Giants. Diary of a mad black woman. Woman art thou loosed (TD JAKES movie). All of Tyler Perry's movies. One night with the King.

Just some off the top of my head. I'll let you know if I remember any others

I saw Facing the Giants when i was helping out at VBS at my church =) that was an awesome movie! I also saw some of One Night With the King...need to re-rent it at the movie store. I heard Diary of a Mad Black Women is good and funny so i'll check it out.

The Cross and the Switchblade,

I watch that with my youth group a while back, it was good.
Its a true story based on David Wilikerson early years of ministry in NYC and Nicky Cruz (gang member ).

Its a old movie, but it's nice, the book is also available.

The Hiding Place

based on Corrie Ten Boom's book of the same title. Another classic from the 1970's.

Corrie Ten Boom, book is about David Wilkerson ?
Just wondering.

I've seen Diary of a mad black woman! I liked it! Is a good one!
I've never seen One night with the King, so I'll see it this weekend! Is it on DVD?

Thanks!

Tony.

I recomend the movie 'Pan's Labrinth' Such a great movie. It is not hollywood, instead Spanish cinema. Very artistic and beautiful. The story is of a young girl who to escape the horrors of WW2, she imagines her own world. As the movie progresses the more emotional it gets and I was in tears by the climax of the movie. Brilliant performances and cinematography. Definatly 5 stars.

Praise Jesus for movies such as these.

I've seen Pan's Labrinth and i agree it is an amazing movie. Its the best forign film I've seen. I loved the way they did Pan. He looked really cool.
