hello vlooi,
you couldn't have asked a better question!...i love christian music and i am passionate about finding new bands for people to listen to!.
i've just searched out all the heavy metal and alternative christian music i have so ill give you them now...here goes;
firstly, there is a cd company who are titled 'what are you listening to?', who make sample cds of all the latest in a particular genre of music, for only a small amount of money so here is there web address;

Pax 217 are what i would call hard rock and have a reggae slant to them as well as including some rap.very good christian lyrics and a very ethical band.

Skillet are defiantly a hard rock band, and one of their songs featured on the 'hard rock and nu metal' sample cd i was talking about earlier.They have quite a 'goth' edge, basically a lot of nu metal(electric guitar hints and unusual beats). They are definitely also an alternative band and i love their cd!

Kutless best point is their wonderfully deep lyrics. They are rock and heavy in places, but overall a bit more mellow, but i wouldn't let that put you off them, as i really do think their lyrics compensate for that.not what i would call an alternative band, as they are quite conventional.
[edited by Yeshua no LINKS are to be posted without Chad's permission]P.o.d (payable on death). i don't think you can get much more hard rock with this band. screaming features quite a lot on some of their more intense tracks, and i love the fact that i have to really listen to their lyrics to work out what they are about. very cultured and have a heavy latin slant to their music, but they are definately not boring or conventional!

Pillar are heavy rock, not sure about the metal though.i love their lyrics, that speak of battle cries to join the army of God and lifting up the christians of today to stand united!

east west is another artist i thought of, although i don't have an album, he is every heavy metal orientated.
[edited by Yeshua no LINKS are to be posted without Chad's permission] might know where you can find him.

i hope this has been helpful, please feel free to ask again if its not and ill research a bit more thoughrouly again.
Jesu bless you,
let us know how you get on if you do like one or a few of these bands!

East west is a great band their new cd is almost all the same kind of emo core great music. East wests other albums are a little bit mixed up on light in guinivers garden they do alot of almost pop and some very hard hard core. the self titled one has alot of rap core and some jusy plain old rap. the rap is still good though and, I don't like rap, the songs from that cd are on a cd that has most of the songs from it and nothing else i forgotr what it's called though.
I'd sugest checking out Dizmas those guys are crazy wicked awsome.
If you like really hard music buy the solid state demos, they are titled, This is Solid State 1-5 some of the best christian metel and core bands are signed with them.
