I realy am not intending to create a thread for a specific archeology topic per se. I want this thread to be open to anything in that realm. I am wondering about something though, if there is anyone who knows alot about world history and biblical archeology, I would like to know about a possible connection between the biblical sinking of Tyre, Malta and the legend of Atlantis. I know that sounds like a mixed bag but if anyone thinks they might be able to answer it, I will type my very lengthy question.
Another question, has anyone visited the alledged site of Noahs ark in Turky? From what I've seen, there seems to be legitamate evidence its the actual ark. Whats your opinion?
I can certainly see it!! I really believe the Shroud of turrin(no idea how to spell it) is real also. love the post i am fasinated with these things. i would loooooove to visit Jeruselim once just to see those places Jesus actually walked around in!!!!
The shroud of Turin is realy amazing. Ive not seen it first hand but there is enough about it that I truely belive its Christ's burial cloth. Alot of people lost faith that it was real because some carbon dating showed it to be not as old as it needed to be but there are some issues with that carbon dating that make it questionable. The date that comes up coincides with the same time that the shroud was damaged in a fire and there are some claims from insiders that the dating was intentionaly skewed to prevent the truth. I wish the vatican would allow it to be re tested. There is actually alot of evidence that its the real deal. There are a few realy good books out there on the subject.
Its all theory and conjecture, no hard facts, but go ahead and ask. As to Noahs Ark, it hasn't been proved to the scientific world that it exists, but there are unsubstantiated claims of people seeing bits of it.

me too. i also firmly believe that carbon dating past a certain period is flawed and that science has been way off with so many dates given using the process. it would be amazing to see it in person!
The ark site I was refering to is the Ron Wyat site. It used to have a visitors center and be open to the public. Now it is a mitary zone off limits to the public. When I get a chance, I will post a link with a recap of the area. All the wood is petrified and the secular archeologist said it was just a boat shaped rock formation but in my opinion there are too many things that say otherwise. The very fact that Turky's muslim military has taken over the site is fishey in its own right.
