I'm following current events in the news and things are getting interesting, to say the least... no, wait, things have been interesting for some time. Anyway, just wondering why there is no specific Politics forum or if that kind of thing belongs here at the w ater cooler?
Are we allowed to talk Politics here?

Every time I post a sentence or paragraph abut ancient history someone thinks I'm talking about politics. I'll tell you what I think is wrong with forum politics, not just here. News isn't really politics. Those people are involved in current affairs, are you sure they're really political? In the sense of educated enough to know what they're doing, I mean, not in the sense of whether or not they're in office. Way way way back in the day, Marx used to accuse people of not being "politically correct", meaning that they weren't in formation with Aristotle. I'm not even sure if I'd be interested in a deep conversation like that, there was a time, but that time was when I was a freshman in school. Real politics? (Ouch, I catchphrased Gorbachev again!) I discuss and argue the constitution on Hillsdale forums too, but one thing that gets on my nerves is the fact that there are too many "retweets" on chat sites, I didn't really care what CBS or Fox news thought of the last speech or scandal, and his opinion in office was less interesting to me than the phrased up and worded out thoughts of another real person actually on line on the same site as me. Other than that, obviously I don't make the rules around here, but I never tell my own vote. Fourth Amendment issue.

Politics is of worldly things. I used to care,not anymore. I say let the world do what it wants to do,it doesn’t concern me. Satan is in charge,not the politicians.
