I was listening to some music, and switchfoot came on. As I meditated on the words I felt guilty.

"This is your life ,Are you who you want to be "

I asked myself, am I really satisfied with my life ,is my path leading to it's purpose. My answer was yes I'm satisfied with my walk and dedication to God.

An excitement came upon me,
"why be satisfied when I can get more from this life. Why live yesterday when I have today".

As Christians we tend to be satisfied with life, we get into our comfort zones. God wants more than our Sunday worship and mid week bible study. We must be Christ like, be on the streets feeding the poor blessing those who lost hope. Our pastors feed us spiritually and we're good, but who's feeding the pastor who is also man and needs encouragement.

This is your life and today is all you've got now

I ask you this.
"This is your life ,Are you who you want to be "

Hi rizen1,

that's a difficult question to answer, because I don't think I am satisified. I know this God is an extrodinary God, and so I am always seeking more, to get one step closer and closer to God (it's hard and there are many obsticals).
If you look at the old testament, King Solomon & David lead extrodinary lives because they pleased God (even though they had their weaknesses). So if God is the same God yesterday, today and tomorrow, then I myself would like to experience such extrodinary life. Thus I am not satisfied yet because I have not yet to reach my full potential (it's a life in progress).

Maybe this is a question closer to the end of your life, when you can look back and then really say if you are satisfied with who you are and who you have become.

Like Paul in 2 Timothy 4:6-8

[6] For I am already on the point of being sacrificed; the time of my departure has come.
[7] I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.
[8] Henceforth there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, will award to me on that Day, and not only to me but also to all who have loved his appearing.

In terms of my life and walk with God so far, yes I am pretty happy...but I know there is more to come, as long as I keep the faith.

Godbless!

Not there yet

I am not where I want to be in Christ...but I think I am at a point where He has to take over and make me what he wants me to be, because nothing I try to do to "become better" works...I am so undisciplined as to doing ANYTHING every day, reading the word, praying, etc. I make resolutions but they are quickly broken. Who can deliver me from this? Paul had the answer and so do I, I am trusting Him to do it.

Jesus Saves

Amen Reeniek.....Trusting God is all we can do.

God knows our hearts and we must pray for God to renew us daily, to increase our spiritual hunger towards him.

We all fall and fail at resolutions, but we must get back up again, remove all expectations, allow God to move in your live.
He's not waiting on us, we just have to be willing and receptive to his will.
Be honest with him,

Dont try to read the whole bible at once, take your time, read the psalms is praise and worship. Dont try to pray for hours, eventually you'll start feeling something and you'll want more.

Most importantly never compare yourself to other christians, everyone's walk is personal.

As we walk this narrow road, may God continue to reveal himself to us daily
.
