This lesson given is taken from Matt 8:5-9! Verse 9!! I have noticed over the past several weeks that some of us Mods are having trouble with some of our wonderful brothers and sisters here. This may not go over very well with some,while some fully understand what I am talking about. I do not speak any of this with any anger,but rather with concern. This is the way I look, from my own prespective, not from any ones elses. All Mods here on TalkJesus were given this authority because Brother Chad the head, and Chief overseer of HIS own site gave them the right to represent him, to both aid and comfort him in helping all of us.
I have learned myself through many Trails in my own life what authority truly means. It has of course not been easy!! LOL I myself have always been a most independant man.After about a year in the body of Christ I felt I should be more involved with the Church,I felt my standing was not high enough. I caused problems in my church over this.One day in prayer Holy Spirit taught me something that for me was very tough to take!! But Holy Spirit was and is so correct! " He said mark, one can never be in authority until one has been under authority! There will be times in your life, when you will not agree with the pastor on a certain teaching, or on the way he may handle a certain situation,but because you sure never wish to make the very same mistake one must stay under the authority given, until such time when the Church itself sees something in you without you saying it!!
Many of those who become in authority forget the foundation of that authority! ( rom 12:3!) For those believers who have never been under this, we the mods are to be prime examples of such teaching. Always with grace and love, but also letting those who are under the authority given by Chad himself to never mistake our Mods kindness for any weakness! I, like many here became angry, I did not like being told how things are going to be, and how they should be handled.( 1 peter 1:6-9!) So I bit my tongue,I looked to become what Jesus first said to become!! A SERVANT!! ( matt 18:1-35!!!) Please do read all of this! Not only is there much meat we can all chew from this,but much fruit is born from so many good trees as well! Can a mod abuse the authority given by brother Chad? Of course we can,and Chad will discipline us for that when needed!
For Brother Chad knows very well what is both expected and needed for his very own site! If a brother or sister is having a problem with a certain Mod, which can happen from time to time,be first what you are called to be,which is a servant and do not look to make a Mod become angry! Nor test the Mod by some fancy wording! Most of the Mods here work very hard to protect all of you from the bad which can come in here from time to time.Let them do there jobs!And support them as best as you can, always remembering why they are placed here in the first place.If a Mod gets out of line Chad will have no problem correcting them!
As we are all servants let us each act as one.Let us live in peace with all here. ( Phil 4:4-9) Let us not look for fault,but rather with comfort,in helping all of us understand just who we are in Christ Jesus, and what this site has always been about! This site is not about you! It is about the person next to you! It is about establishing relationship in the true love of Jesus,and helping each other become what God wants each of us to be!A Servant! This the Lord has impressed upon me to speak to all of us,not just some! First to remind myself of these things!And next from this,to bring peace and grace to all who read this!
May each of us consider this the next time we look to anger another here. Many of you wish to become a Mod someday here,and Brother Chad is always looking for fine examples to help him in his quest to present the gospel in full light, not just part light. But to stand in full light brothers and sisters means we are the examples of good, not bad.To give grace, not judge,to place another above our own self and feeling, and yes to rebuke when needed! Make no mistake brothers and sisters!! Those in Authority here know who they are here. And Brother Chad is also here to remind us all, who not only what a servant is,but also what a servant is to do!( james 1:22)
If this makes your teeth grind a bit,or makes your jaw work some overtime, GOOD!! Then Holy Spirit is bearing witness to what one of so many servants is saying to all here. True many may disagree with me!!I understand this,but this will not take anything away from the truth I speak in Christ Jesus either! For I have spoken this out of both love and concern for all here! ( 1 Tim 5:1-2) My second lesson LOL Let us move on to what love is!!( 1 cor 13:1!!) It never matters what you know, it rather matters on what we do! Let us be those doers,and help each other in the very foundation of each of our faith! A servant to all! Amen!
