If you have children or grandchildren, work with children at church, or you have neighbourhood children whose parents you know, please take note of the information below and pass it along to others. Schools are distributing this book to children through the Scholastic Book Club.?

The name of the book is Conversation s with God.. James Dobson talked about this book twice this week.?

It is devastating. Parents, churches and Christian schools need to be aware of it. Please pass this information on to church/e-mail addressees, Parents, Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Cousins, friends.?

Please pay special attention not only to what your kids watch on TV, in movie theatres, on the internet, and the music they listen to, but also be alert regarding the books they read.?

Two particular books are, Conversations with God and Conversations with God for Teens, written by Neale D. Walsch. They sound harmless enough by their titles alone. The books have been on the New York Times best sellers list for a number of weeks, and they make truth of the statement, 'Don't judge a book by its cover or title.'?

The author purports to answer various questions asked by kids using the 'voice of God'. However, the 'answers' that he gives are not Bible-based and go against the very infallible word of God. For instance (and I paraphrase), when a girl asks the question 'Why am I a lesbian?' His answer is that she was 'born that way' because of genetics (just as you were born right-handed, with brown eyes, etc.). Then he tells her to go out and 'celebrate' her differences.?

Another girls poses the question 'I am living with my boyfriend. My parents say that I should marry him because I am living in sin. Should I marry him?'?
His reply is, 'Who are you sinning against? Not me, because you have done nothing wrong.'?

Another question asks about God's forgiveness of sin. His reply 'I do not forgive anyone because there is nothing to forgive. There is no such thing as right or wrong and that is what I have been trying to tell everyone, do not judge people. People have chosen to judge one another and this is wrong, because the rule is ''judge not lest ye be judged.'?

In his books, Walsch says the voice told him that God is everything?and everything is God. Therefore,?we humans are "God." Everyone around you is simply "you" in a different form, and?we are all "God." Here, Walsch is repeating one of Satan's original lies,?"You will be as God" (Genesis 3:5).

Walsch also claims that all life is eternal. Death is "the great illusion."?There is no judgment, no punishment, and no hell, for there is no reason for any of that?there is no sin. After death, a person goes to a different level of existence in order to "continue the evolution of the human soul." This teaching is in direct conflict with Hebrews 9:27 and many other passages of scripture that teach the reality of judgment after death.

Walsch's defense of Hitler's actions are in line with his teaching of relativism: Hitler might be called "evil," but only "within the context of our human experience." And Hitler was commissioned by God "to show humanity to itself for the purpose of lifting humanity above what it had become and what it had sunk to" (Larry King interview, op. cit.). Therefore, in Walsch's world, Hitler was just another thread of the tapestry and was necessary to help us move forward.

According to Walsch, there is no right way to live or one way to come to God. There are many ways, and all of them are equally valid. All the gods of various religions are really the same "God." Of course, the One True God disagrees with Walsch: " Thus says YAHWEH, the King of Israel, And his Redeemer, YAHWEH of hosts: '?I am the First and I am the Last; Besides Me there is no God" (Isaiah 44:6).

Not only are these books the false doctrine of the devil, but in some?
instances quote (in error) the Word of God.?

And the list goes on. These books (and others like it) are being sold to?
schoolchildren through (The Scholastic Book Club), and we need to be aware?
of what is being fed to our children.?

Our children are under attack. So I pray that you be sober and vigilant?
about teaching your children the Word of God, and guarding their exposure to?
worldly mediums, because our adversary, the devil, roams about as a roaring?
lion seeking whom he may devour (1 Peter 5:8). We know that lions usually?
hunt for the slowest, weakest and YOUNGEST of its prey.?

Pass this on to every Believer you know. God bless! And, if you are in?
doubt, check out the books yourself.

Thankyou Works for this post I will surely pass it on. It upsets me the way they are making God in their own image. Today instead of confronting sin they try to excuse it by making everthing seem that it is only natural "oh I'm only human" We are all sinners but surely God did not make us this way. What is it going to take to remove the blindfolds from their eyes. Lord allow them to see You, to see the Truth, open their eyes Lord. Obviously these people feel their guilt if they did not they would not feel the need to excuse it...
Godbless Works and see you soon love in Christ.

This isn't the first time I've heard about this book and similar books of this nature. I will send around an email and messages sharing it to everyone I know. Our Children belong to the Lord and His truth will always prevail. Through prayer, faith and love the Lord will protect His little ones. Thank you for sharing. As a parent, this information is priceless in a world drowning in sin.

My profession is pretty much literature, if anyone is interested I can see if I can get together a list of material that has been deemed "questionable." Even in public libraries you will see books teaching children about their friends parents who are "same sex" and many of them show sexual explicit material. As a person who is constantly surrounded by the "in and new" material circulating, especially in the states, I have to say that parents need to be aware of what their children see, read and hear. Again, thanks for the information. God Bless.

Thank you for this Works!

They attempt to take the Word of God out of the childrens hands,
and replace it with junk food like this and then wonder why the children are soul sick.

Wow, this is pretty disturbing, I actually watched the movie of the same title. I actually thought it was decent at the time but I stand corrected. I may have missed the messages he was speaking in it or perhaps I was just not paying enough attention to it.

Another book I heard was also disturbing is "The Golden Compass".
The children's book from the outspoken atheist - Philip Pullman.

Thanks for letting us know. I was looking at these books to buy for my two neices. I will not be buying them and pasting this message on to others.

I have this book and the movie. It was purchased before coming back to jesus.

To be honest I never felt much value in it. The people who are into this New Age stuff like "The Secret' also.

In fact most of theat Secret/New Age stuff is what drove me back to Jesus. I needed something real, not some justification for a perverse world view.

thanks

hi works, thanks for letting us know about the books. love lucy xxxxx

Its probably a good idea to check out the publishing house. Any spiritual guidance book not published by a respected Christian publishing house should be considered suspect automatically.

Very good point, SLE. And thanks, works for posting about this. I'll be letting my daughter know about these questionable children's books.

I am very open minded and I wouldn't mind checking this book out. I would rather look at something then decide for myself than have someone else tell me it's not good. I'm sorry if others feel different about this.

The books were published in 1995 and 1997. They are a combination of Hindu and Buddhist ideas and Western philosophy.

I would recommend that we don't email this warning to all our friends. All publicity is good publicity. Most of us never even heard of it until we heard a Christian warning about it.

Looking at this thread, it seems that Night Light is the only one of us that has read it, and was unimpressed.

The way to engage with the battle of ideas is to speak out clearly for the truth, not to batter falsehood.

Just as servants of the Lord have developed ways to spread the word, so have the followers of the devil come up with devices meted with disguises to deceive the 'open minded'.

Thank you Works, I pray our parents and leaders are more vigilant and on guard.

The people who are into this New Age stuff like "The Secret' also.
My friend's buddy recommended the secret and came with it home. I watched before he watched and warned him of new age stuffs I found. He never watched and trashed it in my research drawer

I think Walsch just destroyed his own career. To say unnegative comments about Hitler like that.Wouldn't he be headed for self-destruction and criticism the public for saying that?I'm sure Larry King would have found it offensive.Isn't Larry King's ancestry Jewish?I mean, even if he is an agnostic now,I bet he would still take it to heart.

I think its important to sound a warning far and wide. We are all called to be our brother's keeper.

"But if the watchman sees the sword coming and does not blow the trumpet to warn the people and the sword comes and takes the life of one of them, that man will be taken away because of his sin, but I will hold the watchman accountable for his blood." (Ez 33:6 NIV)
