Big bang, bang bang you're dead!

I love the cosmos. It has always proclaimed to me GOD. It has always perplexed and amazed me, but comforted me at the same time. That was my childhood dream, to be an astronomer. My first word was moon, except Mom [of course Mom, I know ]. I am glad to hear of this "new discovery" in the scientific community.

i'm not sure that the big bang theory proves or disproves anything about the nature of God.

suppose God created the universe a different way.. or suppose the universe is infinitely large, filled with an infinity number of galaxies... it fundamentally doesn't change anything, but it is sobering to think that we may not be alone in the universe.. there could be an infinite number of other species of stuff.

I think it shows much about the nature of humans. I think it is their way, similar to evolution, to explain away GOD. So I hope this can humble some, to conclude that whatever was and is, was made by the one and only Creator, and that Jesus is the answer. For the glory is the Creator's, not the creation's.

Any honest person has to ask the question.. what was before the big bang ..

It is an interesting solution to what was observed at the time (galaxies further away from us redshifted) but it's not an answer to all the other questions that remain.
