Eddie Long??

What do you all think? I am very sad, it is disgusting and evil. I belong to a church who has had him speak and I am again very sad by it all... However, church and Pastors are not my God, I serve Jesus Christ and to him only I look to. Pastors are teachers of the word but God has taught me to look to only him as my Father and Best Friend.

Any thoughts?

People are people no matter what position they are in they are capable of sinning. This man seems to need help.

Eddie Long pastors a mega-church in Atlanta, Georgia and is also on TV, if I'm not mistaken. He's been sued by some young men from his church who are accusing him of coercing them into sex acts. While he hasn't had his day in court, I'm sure he is aware that the young men involved are taking serious risks in airing this matter and that such suits have cost the Catholic Church millions of dollars and much loss of credibility.

Celebrity pastors are falling - in my opinion - because their celebrity status has drained the humility out of them. When that happens, they become prime targets for spiritual attack because God does not support pride.

I'm sure some mega-churches are on the up and up, but I think a fair number of pastors who cultivate these huge congregations do it out of pride, and compromise their beliefs in order to achieve their success. That's a deadly combination that can lead to other "misbehaviors".

I think it's too early to judge Eddie Long's actions because I don't think the facts are in. For all we know, his accusers may be corrupt. Time will tell. All I know is if he is found guilty, don't count me among those who are surprised.

He does not want us Praying for things He already did for us!

WE MUST ACCEPT by FAITH ! Love for us the correct reason . Why We want these things! For His glory and honor!

Or to be able to serve others more perfectly !

Which we are too be living sacrifices! He wants us blessing others!
