i play the drums for a youth worship band, and every year we have been blessed to be able to play in a small town in louisiana for a youth group's D-now(Desciple Now). None of the kids are over the age of 16, and they are all amazing^^. They all have a unique passion for God and it's really inspiring^^. They aren't, i guess, the "typical" looking church goers^^. they prefer baggy pants and harder Christian rock^^(as do myself..lol). i keep in touch with them on the internet, and i talked to one of them on Friday, and my heart broke. appearantly their pastor banned them from wearing black from sunday worship AND their youth on wednesday nights. where they used to have 30-40 kids coming, now there is only about 20 or less. the youth pastor(an AWESOME guy) doesn't worry bout numbers at all, he's just heart broken that the Church did that. So many kids are going to be pushed away because of it. the ones i talked too told me they weren't going to stop going just because of that, my friend said "I love God way too much to not go"^^.
so yeah..just wondering what some of your thoughts were on that.
Laterzzz
