hey guys its me again yes the one and only with another problem...

first, what is blastphomy...?

and second here is my problem. me and my girlfriend were in alittle bit of a fight and she said she wasn't perfect and i said think to myself sarcastically "Yeah, and i'm godly" my girlfriend looked at me surprised and said i commited blastphomy did i do such a think unaware of my consciquences? i wasn't trying to mean it like that i am freaked out that i gave myself a first class ticket to hell please help me understand this situation... thank you

Well, it seems to me that you really didn't mean that you're godly and I'm sure you know that. You're a filthy rag(me too) and you won't ever be perfect until you die and go to Heaven, but God still loves you. That is a lot of love right there, if you ask me.

Isaiah 64:6
"But we are all as an unclean thing, and all our righteousnesses are as filthy rags; and we all do fade as a leaf; and our iniquities, like the wind, have taken us away." KJV

Romans 5:8
"But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us." KJV

I believe she said you committed blasphemy because you said that you're godly. To say that you're perfect is an insult to God, but I'm guessing you were joking since you said it sarcastically. If I was you I wouldn't joke about these things.

Although, this is a bad thing to do, it is not the unforgivable sin, blasphemy against the Holy Ghost. Blasphemy against the Holy Ghost is unbelief of God.

Matthew 12:31
"Wherefore I say unto you, All manner of sin and blasphemy shall be forgiven unto men: but the blasphemy against the Holy Ghost shall not be forgiven unto men." KJV

You did not commit this kind of blasphemy, but you made a joke that was disrespectful to God. God will forgive you, if you ask humbly for His forgiveness. Don't worry brother, you won't go to Hell, if you believe in what Jesus did and who He was. I hope this helps.

1 John 1:9
"If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness." KJV

God Bless
