dear brothers and sisters

i have seen and heard a few things in the media, including the mis use of the word Bible far too often.

but nothing i have seen before could have prepared me for what i saw on monday.

on the front page, bold and for all to see was a blasphemy to great for me to repeat its contents, but enough for me to ask you all to avoid such an erroneous publication. in 'the sun' newspaper, which just happens to have the greatest number of daily sales in the uk, was the re working of the Lords prayer. re worked in support of the english cricket team.

while i may have supported the team in the contest, i could never ever condone such blasphemy.

i ask that all here from the uk, all who have access to british daily newspapers to avoid further and future purchases of this newspaper

In His public ministry on earth, Jesus was accosted by blasphemy-spouting Scribes and Pharisees many times (probably much more often than the gospel writers recorded). Did He avoid these blasphemers? Quite the contrary. He confronted those men and their blasphemies.

I believe that Jesus wants us to confront the blasphemers of the 21st Century just as He did in the 1st Century. You must seek God's guidance on how to confront the person or persons responsible for the material in question and then gather a group of Christians to write letters to the editor tactfully stating your case.

Putting your heads in the sand by avoiding this publication is exactly what Satan would have Christians do. That way, he is free of opposition in his plan to use that publication to deceive the unknowing.

The Sun = Tabloid. We get that in the US also. I think its called Sun Weekly.

All these tabloids, the people behind them will perish if they die in their sin this way. They blaspeme GOD all the time its the most disgusting thing your eyes can witness on paper.

SpiritLed....confronting people who clearly love evil is not a simple. How would you confront them for example? I can understand being led by the Holy Spirit but otherwise these publishers do not care

Hi to all,

Scrappy I have never been impressed with the sun newspaper. I didn't pay much attention to it until many years ago I saw the most pathetic article on the front page, insulting Princess Diana from that point I refused to buy it again. Then after she died they had a complete turn around because all they care about is selling newspapers. I think the media in general takes far to many liberties when it comes to blaspheming that they might not dare to with some of the other main religions. They don't seem to care or understand that their articles can offend not only Christians but many members of the general public also.

Scrappy, even i was shocked to read it, and they did it for a few cheap laughs. i do think they should be made to hear how offended people are. If it were another religion they would not dare publish such offensive material
