Blessed are the meek

Blessed are the meek; for they shall inherit the earth.

Matthew 5:5 KJV

Weekly Meditation

But you must remain faithful to the things you have been taught. You know they are true, for you know you can trust those who taught you. You have been taught the holy Scriptures from childhood, and they have given you the wisdom to receive the salvation that comes by trusting in Christ Jesus.

All Scripture is inspired by God and is useful to teach us what is true and to make us realize what is wrong in our lives. It straightens us out and teaches us to do what is right. It is God's way of preparing us in every way, fully equipped for every good thing God wants us to do.

2 Timothy 3:14-17 NLT

I am trying, really trying to be meek, but I don't seem to be doing a very good job at all. I still don't understand this meekness stuff. I know it has to be true, that "Blessed are the meek", because God says so. I just haven't learned it right yet. God, help me please. Teach me the difference between being a doormat and being meek. There is a difference, isn't there?.....
