Blueberry Tea Cake
by Jessica Gerald

3 tablespoons shortening
1/2 cup sugar
1 egg
2 2/3 cups flour
4 teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
3/4 cup berries

Cream shortening, add sugar gradually, stirring constantly. Add egg, beaten thick and light. Mix and sift flour (except three tablespoons), baking powder, and salt; add to first mixture alternately with milk. Sprinkle remaining flour over berries and fold them in quickly. Bake in well-greased shallow pan at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.

When cool, frost the cake or sprinkle with powdered sugar.

Just curious, do you just repost good sounding recipes, or have you made these and your other posted recipes before?

Good Question,
I'm a recipe junkie, find me in the cooking section of any book store. I follow a strict diet so some of the postings are wishful imagining of others, cooking, eating and enjoying what I can'to_O. Then there's the I made it, or ate it and the recipe was shared with me:rolleyes:, and finally the procrastinated list hidden in my bookmark folders:(.

Currently I've compiled a list of recipes online I've tried and documented, so I'll share when I'm done.

Thanks! I love the personal touch and despite some really good sounding recipes, when me or my wife try them, sometimes they dont taste as good as it sounds. So if you made something according to the recipe's its a real boost to me in its attractiveness if you liked the end product!! :)
