She ended her life today in Oregon today,if you have never heard of her, she was 29 when she married, and began to have terrible headaches, long story short, the doctors gave her 6-10 months to live,Oregon is one of 5 states which allow a person to die with dignity,as they call it. The pain she would have suffered due to this brain tumor, would have been most painful! I am not aware if she was a believer or not. For many, this act would not be a tough question to answer,"NO!! She had no right to kill herself!!"

A very tough point to argue about for me.( 1 Samuel 16:7) The Lord looks into the heart. This subject matter has always been most painful for me to address, because i can truly see both sides to this issue! I fully understand that God gave life, and God alone should be the only person to end it. At the same time to know how horrible a person with this brain tumor can suffer, is beyond description! I will not judge her,but I really would like to know what you all think and why,and please use scripture to confirm why you believe the way you do. I sure know some scripture i could put up against this!! But since she is gone now,the act would be a mute point. Thanks for your thoughts upon this heart breaking matter!

Hi brother @Brighthouse

I heard, it's really sad. I understand both sides of the coins. Ultimately, we have no right to end our life or anyone for that matter, yet we have a choice, free will, wisdom to apply and of course GOD looks at the heart as you quoted from Samuel. In compliment to that one, here's another.

1 Corinthians 6:19–20
Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God? http://biblia.com/bible/esv/1 Corinthians 6.19–20#footnote1You are not your own, http://biblia.com/bible/esv/1 Corinthians 6.19–20#footnote2for you were bought with a price. http://biblia.com/bible/esv/1 Corinthians 6.19–20#footnote3So glorify God in your body

John Piper has written a good article. I've posted it here.
