Any of you ever get a burden so big that it sapps all your energy
your joy, makes you just real miserable?
I have had this experience over lost souls mostly being my own family
I have 3 sons and 1 daughter all fled the nest and have own families
of course my husband is included in there also.
It's only lately by prayer, just pouring out my heart to our Saviour
in tears many times, only lately has it eased somewhat.
It doesn't just weight as heavy now Praise Him
sometimes it got so hard to bear that I nearly gave up, but it was
our Lord's holding me kept me from falling.
I know the world has absolutly nothing in it that I want, but it doesn't stop
satan filling your mind and trying to poisen it with rubbish that your no good for Jesus, because you can't even get your family to trust in him, I know it's not our battle it's the Lord's but we do have to do our bit.
We are in the Lord's army afterall.
Just thought I'd like to share this with you in case anyone can relate to it.

I am glad to know and to be comforted in knowing that whatever tomorrow holds for me God holds tomorrow and me in the palm of His hand.
 
Hi Maureen

I understand where you are coming from but we have to leave our burdens with Jesus.

Here is one example:
Matt.11. NIV

28"Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30For my yoke is easy and my burden is light."
Satan is the father of all lies. Do not listen to him.

Just remembered this good one for you.

We demolish arguments and every pretension that sets itself up against the knowledge of God, and we take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.


1 Jn.4.4.
He that is in us is greater than he that is in the world.

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable—if anything is excellent or praiseworthy—think about such things.


Fill your mind with good scriptures sister so that when you get negative words you can use the Word to speak the truth just like Jesus did when He was tempted.

My sister has not accepted Jesus yet but I have learnt to leave her in His hands. I shared and told her the good news. The seeds are planted now it is up to God to reap the harvest and bring her in. The Holy Spirit will convict people and then it is up to them to accept or reject Him.

Prayer changes things and all we can do is pray for them.

Oh Maureen, I totally can relate. I too have cried many tears for the salvation of my loved ones, and have prayed many prayers, especially for my sons. Just as LLJ said, we can pray, and trust the Lord hears our prayers. He really does. As you have stated already, it's not our battle.

We just obey the Lord by telling our loved ones the gospel, living our lives for Him, so that others may see Jesus in us, and be drawn to His Spirit. And just trust God, He is in control, He loves our sons, daughters, mothers, fathers, more than we do. Don't forget that, God loves them more! He does not want anyone to perish. Here is a scripture that someone gave me when I was feeling the same burden as you. It brings me great comfort, I hope it does you.

2Peter 3:9 "The Lord is not slow in keeping His promise, as some understand slowness. He is patient with you, not wanting anyone to perish, but everyone to come to repentance."

I do agree intirely with all you have said, and have held to Jesus tightly
or he is holding me should I say
He has brought me through the worst ordeal in my life the loosing of my dear Dad but he was saved and was able to witness that he was going to heaven what a peace the Lord gave him at the end, I will never thank Him enough but then who could ever thank Him enough for Calvary.

The Bible itself is intolerant and true followers of Gods's word should be as well.
