C.S. Lewis and Lilith

I was reading through The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe as a screening to see if my son can follow with comprehension. In a meeting, with the Beavers, there is mention of Adam's first wife Lilith being an ancestor to the evil Queen Jadis (the White Witch). Has anyone else noticed this? I was very surprised as this is something that Judaism and Islam both believe, but C.S. Lewis has written so many things from the Christian viewpoint.
