just wanted to see whats up with us christian artists....

im a media designer, airbrush artist, and cartoonist. i wanted to start a thread for us Artists....not to exclude poem writers, and musicians!we are all artists!

my thoughts are.....how can we help each other to get further with our dreams? lets share...tips and tricks, programs that we use...and our thoughts to art(our boundries and such)!

well let me start...

i use...

airbrush..
iwata, cresendo 175, harder and steenbach
paints...whatever is sprayable

computer..
photoshop(well, who doesn't)
painter 8
flash

well i hope this goes somewhere....who knows what we might be able to do with it...
maybe help homeschoolers, or others that need a creative push!

tips and tricks come later when we see where this goes.

well great burgeon, i hope we can use this to help one another. i know i get stumped in the middle of projects myself. as for what i am working on now, i am doing a music video to the title song from Petra's album Jekyll&Hyde in flash 5. it is no real job, it is just for myself, practicing my animation, but i thought i can use it when i go put in my applications at places.

so what is on your drawing table at the moment? post some pics pleez!

Chad....THAT SOUNDS LIKE A GREAT IDEA!...pleez..pleeez...pleeeeeez..lol!
it would be a great way to share tutorials, and ideas.
we could do tutorials for sunday school teachers and home schoolers,
how they can do a (small) story book for the kids,for example, on programs that they have at home on thier own computers....without having to buy expensive programs.

hey YEG.....would luv to see your work....3D is so cool...i just cant seem to box my way through all grids and grid mapping and all that stuff. i bought a cheapo program and thought i would try....well i made a red ball..lol...still some stuff to learn there i think. be sure to post some pics.

ps. guitars are relevant....especially if they have airbrush on em..lol

ps again...seen your mt rainer, Impressive....alot better than my little red ball..lol

well i've been thinkin....my heads a hurtin now!
what could we do to help others with this....this was a few of my thoughts:

simple ways to make tracts for kids,(through different folding techniques and how to place the pics so it looks right when folded)

post pics for people to use in sunday school etc.

list free ware programs that could be helpful for people

how too's on cartooning

this was just a few of my thoughts......i know ya'll got some more....so if yer interested..lets use our God givin talents, thats why we got em!

I only draw in graphite. I recently started drawing Christian subjects; The Crucifixion, The Good Shepherd, etc. I have my own personal website where I've posted my drawings, but I'm not sure if I'm permitted to post the link here on TalkJesus. I wish there were a way for me to use my skills for the Lord. Any ideas?

Hey guys, i am a guitarist and am learning still. I also have a passion on cartoon animation using flash. I quite sometimes try to use flash to develop drawings and flash is very well suited for it.

Praise God for He himself is a great artist in creating a wonderful universe.

I'm being inspired to get iback into oils, oil crayon & water colours.


I've done a lot during my life but mostly copy work :thumbs_do or modifications of things etc that whet my appetite to ''create''.

I now want to do more individual, Godly inspired stuff. i.e digging a bit deeper. Abstract or symbolic. :rainbow: Any ideas??????

first of all...alot of people copy the masters...or works that really talk to them...the thing is.....turn it into yer own individual style.....practice....and see what comes out of it...

myself...i like to shock(in a good way)...i want people to think about what they are looking at.....and appreciate what they have in jesus!........so dig deep!....and dont get scared...let the lord lead ya...and bust out a masterpiece!.....dig inside of yerself....and yer salvation..and let it go from there!...post sum pics!

I luv flash...i did a 1 minute music video for Jekyll&Hyde from Petra(just for me)....Flash has alot of things to offer.....i hope to see it used more in the christian art form....it can talk to alot of people...keep it up...maybe we can share sumday!
