Can Sex Offenders be saved?

I believe I am being led to counsel and minister to Sex Offenders in a Christ centered way. I am a firm believer in Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I believe in the Trinity. I believe in God's Word especially 1 Cor 13.

Can Sex Offenders in your humble opinions, be saved and are they really the only people who commit sexual crimes? I know the stats but I am finding out that in the body of Christ, up to 90% of my brothers and sisters believe that SO's are the ones responsible for all the sexual crimes, hence, once a pedophile or rapist, always. I've even heard that SO's never get the desire to commit sex crimes out of their minds. I ask them how they know this and at first, they are stumped at the question-then they usually tell me that's what they've heard. Well, those are not the facts at all but the media would have you believe it. Remember, we, as humans are twice as likely to want to hear bad news than good. Doesn't this tell us that we truly live in a broken world? Satan is taking a portion of God's own elect and using them against God's own elect. I've seen Christians look down on SO's who come into church no matter what the sex crime was; urinating in public all the way up to child molestation and homosexual rape. I've seen the data on the actual number of violent and victim crimes on a person (or child) and that number is lower than we might think. I'm not joking, the number is way lower than I thought.

If we, as believers in Jesus' saving blood, hold it against anybody who has wronged us and look down on them, aren't we opening up a foothold for Satan? This means we are being judgmental and condemning the very brothers and sisters whose sins have been forgiven by our wonderful Savior's blood. His blood really does work, and not just for the best that "society" has to offer but even for the one living in the gutter and behind the trash bins.

I've talked to groups of men, all who believe God's Word and fear Him and there are some who said that SO's never change no matter what the facts say and they commit the same crimes over and over again. Way not true! 90 to 95% of all new sex crimes are committed by someone who has never been put on a sex registry data site. If this were not true, then since the sex registry started, we would be down to maybe 4000 sex registrants left because of people passing away. So, who are the new SO's and where do they come from? They come from every walk of life and they are your friends, neighbors, brothers and sisters in Christ. But most of all, they are your own family members.

Please pray for the men and women who are on these sex registries, their victims (if they have a victim), both their families and especially the body of Christ and those who have already condemned them in their own hearts. Remember the Lepers? Jesus loved and still loves them. SO's are the modern day leper.

Ask the Lord God in Jesus' name to help you understand this hate that some of us have for these folks...please. They are after all fearfully and wonderfully made just like you and me.

Praise God and I love you all

As a person who has insight to this, yes. Any person can be saved. It's in the scriptures if you look. Any man that accepts Jesus, accepts God into their lives--that proclaims God as their father is saved. We, as people, may not think it. We may say "God how? They did this crime", but God is God. If Hitler at the very last moment said "God forgive me. I believe in you, my Father. I accept you into my heart" and he meant it...well, if you make it to heaven, do not be surprised. God is the ultimate Judge.

2 Corinthians 5:17 - Therefore if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature: old things are passed away; behold, all things are become new.

Hebrews 7:25 - Wherefore he is able also to save them to the uttermost that come unto God by him, seeing he ever liveth to make intercession for them.

Christ can save any who come to Him and once saved they are new creations, they are not SO's or whatever they were before.

He is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentence.

Is anything to difficult for God? Does the Holy Spirit have the power to change hearts?
If we repent and ask for forgiveness, is there anything he doesn't forgive?

Is urinating in public a "vile" crime? This makes a person in this country (USA) a sex offender now. Please be careful to pre-judge what crimes are committed when it comes to sex offenders. I hope this makes you brothers and sisters think about this a little more. Even the most VILE offenders are forgiven, but our most "revered" christian brethren still look down on them with judgmental comments and I don't mean to pick on you, it's just that it's extremely frustrating that we have to assume the worst about sex offenders...we were all offenders in our Savior's eyes before we were introduced to Him, right?
With Love for you all

In Oklahoma if you are a male over 18 and you have female in your car under with you and she has her shoes off you can be arrested for carnal behavior.
I doubt many people ever get arrested for this.
On the other hand, I have heard stories of teenagers going on private property and watching things (sometimes real life, but sometimes pornography)
through a window with open curtains. Who do you think got in trouble, the teenagers, or the people leaving the curtains open? I have also heard a story about
pornography found in a trash can by teenagers (I suspect this is fairly common) and even found on a borrowed cellphone or laptop computer.
I do believe we need to be somewhat careful about what our neighbors might see. (or hear if your walls are thin)

I am in no way condoning pornography. All I'm saying is, either way, we need to be careful if we are in a place we people might see us.

Praise the Lord......He saves all who come unto Him
No-one is excluded.
Men may cast judgements but the Lord knows the heart and He loves us all

Him that cometh to me I will in no wise cast out.

John 6:37

I the LORD search the heart

Jeremiah 17:10

Amazing Grace, how sweet the sound,
That saved a wretch like me.
I once was lost but now am found,
Was blind, but now I see.
