Can this person be harmed?

Just recently I watched a program on our Australian tv network. It was about one of our well known television personalities.

He was asked to spend a night in a old farm house. ( The house is about 140 years old.) It is one of our well known haunted farm houses here in Australia.

He took a film crew with him and set up one of many cameras throughout the house. The film crew eventually left and he was left alone in the house.

After retiring for the night many strange things began to happen in his bedroom. The camera that was taking this footage, kept being tampered with, and turned itself off and on regularly. He heard people in the other room talking, even though there was no one else in the house but him. First thing in the morning a piano could be heard clearly playing in another room of the house. There was no piano at all, just the sound of someone playing it.

The question that I am asking is, can this person be physically harmed by deliberately placing himself in this situation?

Things like this that can sometimes happen in old homes and buildings, and are usually the result of bad things happening in the home, in years gone by.

The next day he commented that he never felt so afraid in his life. He said it was an eery experience.

He can be harmed if he walks in darkness and does not have Jesus in his life. If he does not believe who Christ is and have faith in Him for protection both spiritually and physically, then he can very well be open for harm both ways a well.

What was the purpose of him putting himself in that position? Was he merely trying to prove what the world calls "paranormal activity"? What was the whole purpose anyway?

Psalm 91

HE WHO dwells in the secret place of the Most High shall remain stable and fixed under the shadow of the Almighty [Whose power no foe can withstand]. I will say of the Lord, He is my Refuge and my Fortress, my God; on Him I lean and rely, and in Him I [confidently] trust!

For [then] He will deliver you from the snare of the fowler and from the deadly pestilence. [Then] He will cover you with His pinions, and under His wings shall you trust and find refuge; His truth and His faithfulness are a shield and a buckler.

You shall not be afraid of the terror of the night, nor of the arrow (the evil plots and slanders of the wicked) that flies by day, Nor of the pestilence that stalks in darkness, nor of the destruction and sudden death that surprise and lay waste at noonday.

A thousand may fall at your side, and ten thousand at your right hand, but it shall not come near you. Only a spectator shall you be [yourself inaccessible in the secret place of the Most High] as you witness the reward of the wicked.

Because you have made the Lord your refuge, and the Most High your dwelling place, There shall no evil befall you, nor any plague or calamity come near your tent.

For He will give His angels [especial] charge over you to accompany and defend and preserve you in all your ways [of obedience and service]. They shall bear you up on their hands, lest you dash your foot against a stone.

You shall tread upon the lion and adder; the young lion and the serpent shall you trample underfoot. Because he has set his love upon Me, therefore will I deliver him; I will set him on high, because he knows and understands My name [has a personal knowledge of My mercy, love, and kindness--trusts and relies on Me, knowing I will never forsake him, no, never].

He shall call upon Me, and I will answer him; I will be with him in trouble, I will deliver him and honor him. With long life will I satisfy him and show him My salvation.

This person was on a tv programme that dared people to attempt difficult situations and to see how they coped and achieved them. It was a general,who dares program.

I do not agree with what he did, by placing himself in such a situation.

I saw this, I was not entirely impressed. These programs really like to bribe people into thinking they can do this sort of stuff and then humilate them on national television, what does that achieve? Nothing.

I think this was pretty pathetic. I think the name of the show that I am thinking of is called Who Dares Wins. This show awards stupidity dares with money.

throughout history the supernatural realm and physical world have been shown to mix from time to time most won't believe it. My own past experiences have demonstrated to that the spiritual realm is far more than irrational paranoia, having said that though there is far more paranoia to this subject than there is athentic contract with paranormal energy.Chad is also correct if you have received the Spirit by accepting Jesus as you personal saviour you are safe from this and much more. The fact that this was a tv program though and the need for ratings is critical, personally I would be somewhat sceptical of this particular presentation.
