31 When the Son of man shall come in his glory, and all the holy angels with him, then shall he sit upon the throne of his glory:
32 And before him shall be gathered all nations: and he shall separate them one from another, as a shepherd divideth his sheep from the goats:
33 And he shall set the sheep on his right hand, but the goats on the left.
34 Then shall the King say unto them on his right hand, Come, ye blessed of my Father, inherit the kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world:
35 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:
36 Naked, and ye clothed me: I was sick, and ye visited me: I was in prison, and ye came unto me.
37 Then shall the righteous answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, and fed thee? or thirsty, and gave thee drink?
38 When saw we thee a stranger, and took thee in? or naked, and clothed thee?
39 Or when saw we thee sick, or in prison, and came unto thee?
40 And the King shall answer and say unto them, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye have done it unto one of the least of these my brethren, ye have done it unto me.
41 Then shall he say also unto them on the left hand, Depart from me, ye cursed, into everlasting fire, prepared for the devil and his angels:
42 For I was an hungred, and ye gave me no meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me no drink:
43 I was a stranger, and ye took me not in: naked, and ye clothed me not: sick, and in prison, and ye visited me not.
44 Then shall they also answer him, saying, Lord, when saw we thee an hungred, or athirst, or a stranger, or naked, or sick, or in prison, and did not minister unto thee?
45 Then shall he answer them, saying, Verily I say unto you, Inasmuch as ye did it not to one of the least of these, ye did it not to me.
46 And these shall go away into everlasting punishment: but the righteous into life eternal.
As far as recluses go. I am not sure and I would like to know if someone has some specific scripture out there. I am actually a recluse. It bothers my wife and kids a bit and so they push me to get out of the house with them, which I think is good. Good balance there.
You must love.......
........We must see as Christ sees....Let this mind be in you that was in Christ Jesus
That was beautiful. It brought tears to my eyes. How can we ever convince the world and the lost of the beautiful love of Jesus, if we are not prepared to live and love like Jesus
This song keeps coming to mind when I read this thread, especially the chorus?
Oh suffering soul, crying out for love
In a world that seldom cares
See the hungry heart longing to be filled
Much more than our prayers
And a young girl sells herself on Seventh Avenue
And you hear her crying out for help,
"My God, what will we do?"
Chorus:
Don't tell them Jesus loves them till you're ready to love them too
Till your heart breaks from the sorrow and the pain they're going through
With a life full of compassion may we do what we must do
Don't tell them Jesus loves them till you're ready to love them too
Oh, the desperate man
Are we reaching for the souls that are sinking down in sin?
Oh, cry for the child
We've lost our passion for the lost and there are billions left to win
And another forty thousand children starve to death today
Would we risk all we have to see what of them say
Chorus
Why have we waited so long to show them Jesus lives
To share salvation's song
Why have our hearts become so proud that we fail to see
To love them is to love God
And a young girl sells herself on Seventh Avenue
Hear her crying out for help,
"What will we do?"
Chorus

Love is a thing that demands to be spread. It bubbles and boils to the top and overflows the spirit. It is a joy like no other and can't be chained within anything or anyone. Those who try to regulate it are plagued by fear and this strangles love and in the end turns the individual arrogant as if people need to reach a point of acceptance by the person to have love released to them.
I remember that my aunt used to say, "Well Christ says I need to love him/her, so I will." This is not love, since it is given reluctantly and because someone she thinks she knows has commanded it from her.
Love is an all or nothing thing. It can not be turned on or off like a light switch. You don't have to like what a person does to love them, simply know that they do what they do because of their own personal experiences, and the teachings of a unconcerned world. Sometimes an outstretched hand an a smile melts through solid steel.
No. If you do not love your neighbor you are not a Christian.I'm pretty sure most of us will say you have to love God/Jesus, but can you be a Christian without loving your neighbor?
Can you love your neighbor if you live as a recluse or hermit?
Luke 10:29-36
I have read stories of martyrs who prayed while being burnt at the stake for their enemies and by the love they showed at their time of death they got the enemies to want to know who this " Jesus" was and in turn, converted to Christianity and repented. Love conquers all and though difficult at times in this day and age, especially as an American who has "pride" engrained from a young age, humbleness is a trait that has had to be learned. By me, anyways.I would disagree a bit, if you are surrounded by very evil people such as Lot was.... even God hated the people so much, that He pulled the 1 righteous person and his family out of the city before destroying it. In that case, I would say "move away" before your family has been all completely corrupted by their presence.
