Hello all! I have a question about Catholicism. I am not catholic, but I've seen several people here mention they were at some point, so I hope someone can shed some light.
I was having a discussion recently with a friend and I mentioned something I had read about the catholic religion and he remarked that catholic beliefs in the US were different than Roman Catholics (he's not catholic either, he just understood this to be true).
So my question is if there is a difference? I always thought all catholics belonged to the Roman Catholic church. Do catholic churches in America follow different teachings/beliefs than the Roman Catholic churches?
I just want to understand the differences, if any. Thanks!!
God bless!!
Dave
