Which one makes more sense? Jesus said what the requirements are for Heaven and one can clearly see Catholics are off.

The discussions between the Catholic and Protestant are usually bitter.

Christ didn't come to bring peace, but a sword. So the sword continues to divide.

Both groups can get a bit fiesty about this but Catholics at large get more "offended".

I've known and talked to former Catholics. They left after being Born Again. They are actually upset with the Catholic church and their teaching. One lady said she still feels the guilt that the Catholic church put on her.

They also try to bring unity but there can be no unity when we can't even agree on how one is saved according to Scripture.
Theirs is "faith+works+traditions+spellcasting(rosary)+church calisthenics (sit, kneel, stand, and various iterations)+confession to an earthly "father" who they think have the authority to "forgive sins"+penance.

The one I like best is "estra ecclesiam nulla salus" outside the church no salvation.

This was their doctrine for centuries, now they say you can be saved outside the Church but you have to associated with the Church to remain saved.

I've never heard of that one.
It SCREAMS of threatening and to keep people in their "church" by force which is NOT of God.

That's how the RCC thrives, fear and threats. They make themselves the only mediator to God and keep the truth from the people.

If you want to see who they really are, look in Scripture at the Pharisees and Sadducees. They are of the same lot, deceiving the people.
