My wife and I had our first jabs just over a week ago, she felt pretty grotty for a day afterwards, I had no reaction other than not sleeping that night but, I have irregular sleep anyway so I can't blame the jab for that. Thankfully no mark of the beast, no tracking chip, and hopefully no Covid.

In the UK our vaccination rate is about 30% and rising so we've dropped from one of the highest infection rates per capita, to one of the lowest, undoubtedly lives are being saved and people are avoiding a debilitating disease. I thank God for the ingenuity of the boffins this vaccine in such an incredibly short period of time.

The current Covid vaccines are mRNA vaccines. mRNA has been studied as a vaccine source since the late 80's. Till now mRNA has never been approved for release to the public.

Hi Cactus, please don't leave. I read most of your posts with real interest, sorry I should respond more but that's more to do with pressure of time.

I've noticed that you and I have very different perspectives on many topics and more of that's got to be healthy in a discussion forum, so please, please, keep on posting.

Back to topic. I think it's incumbent on Christians to promote and applaud everything that makes struggling people's lives less intolerable and that's how I see Covid jabs. I know people who've been devastated at the early loss of a parent and even a son or daughter - how must that feel? I also know a couple of people who suffer from what's called Long Covid which is a debilitating condition that makes then unable to work and almost housebound; they can't walk to the end of their street.

So to say that we should wait a decade or two until we're 110% certain that the vaccine has no side effects is to condemn literally hundreds of thousands to suffer in this way. To most Brits the EU's approach to vaccine is bewildering. Out of tens of millions of vaccinated people 38 have died of a blood clot, which statistically is fewer than you'd expect in normal times so the chances of pinning that on Astra Zeneca are remote. So due to late approval by the EU medicines Agency, squabbles over supply and price they missed the boat and now they're turning their nose up on the vaccine, Covid rates in the EU are actually increasing as are hospitalisations, ICU occupancy and deaths. Most of Europe are in or about to increase lockdown restrictions, the UK is slowly relaxing them.

I'm not saying this with any vitriol like I was some English nationalist, I'm not. I just wish governments around the world would show some empathy, care and love for the poor, the underclass, disabled and struggling people they're supposed to represent.

And this is public knowledge, plus written down in black and white. And some of us understands what "Nano-technology" is. On the basis of the determination by the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services on Feb. 4, 2020, that there is a public health emergency that has a significant potential to affect national security or the health and security of United States citizens living abroad, and issued declarations that circumstances exist justifying the authorization of emergency use of unapproved products, the FDA may issue an EUA to allow unapproved medical products or unapproved uses of approved medical products to be used in an emergency to diagnose, treat, or prevent COVID-19 when there are no adequate, approved, and available alternatives.

The issuance of an EUA is different than an FDA approval (licensure) of a vaccine, in that a vaccine available under an EUA is not approved. In determining whether to issue an EUA for a product, the FDA evaluates the available evidence to determine whether the product may be effective and also assesses any known or potential risks and any known or potential benefits If the product meets the effectiveness standard and the benefit-risk assessment is favorable, the product is made available during the emergency. Once a manufacturer submits an EUA request for a COVID-19 vaccine to the FDA, the agency then evaluates the request and determines whether the relevant statutory criteria are met, taking into account the totality of the scientific evidence about the vaccine that is available to the FDA.

Janssen Biotech Inc. has submitted a pharmacovigilance plan to the FDA describing its commitment to monitor the safety of Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine. The pharmacovigilance plan includes a plan to complete longer-term safety follow-up for participants enrolled in ongoing clinical trials. The pharmacovigilance plan also includes other activities aimed at monitoring the safety profile of the Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine and ensuring that any safety concerns are identified and evaluated in a timely manner.

The FDA also expects manufacturers whose COVID-19 vaccines are authorized under an EUA to continue their clinical trials to obtain additional safety and effectiveness information and pursue approval (licensure).

The EUA for the Janssen COVID-19 Vaccine was issued to Janssen Biotech Inc., a Janssen Pharmaceutical Company of Johnson & Johnson. The authorization will be effective until the declaration that circumstances exist justifying the authorization of the emergency use of drugs and biologics for prevention and treatment of COVID-19 is terminated.
