cherry apple pie

We had a really yummy pie a few weeks back at our Bible study made by a sweet southern lady (we live up North).

She made her normal apple pie - crust, apples and such, then put a few dalops (spelling?) of cherry preserves on top, spread it around and sealed it with a second crust. YUMMY. And easy too. If you make pie crust the way I do - Pillsbury red box.

Hi Truedawn, how was your Thanksgiving Day?

Mine was wonerful, we ate out but I still made a pie.

A cherry apple pie!

And it came out just as you had described!!!

I think, for now on I am going to have a cherry apple pie instead of a apple pie.

Though they are both great tasting pies, that cherry apple pie knocked me off my feet!!!

I think - -YUMMIER- - is the word for it!!!

We had a good Thanksgiving with my husband's family & their in-laws. We live so close that we were able to walk over carrying our goodies to share.

I've eaten out at times as well for Thanksgiving. The important thing was who we got to spend the time with. Happy Thanksgiving. Praise the Lord that we have much to be thankful for! Today at our Sunday School class we went around telling our names and one thing that we are thankful for that begins with the first letter of our first name. It was amazing how later on I could write a whole list with time to think on it... A friend of mine is keeping a list of her daily three things that she is grateful for that day. I've tried to follow suit and did that for awhile, then lost the umph to keep on with it. Tomorrow is another day and it's easy to think of different things to thank the Lord for/ praise Him for.
