Children International employees shared their holiday spirit by collecting over 700 pounds of food to help those in need this past holiday season. The massive collection was donated to Harvesters, a Kansas City-based food bank (www.harvesters.org).
The food was provided to needy children, families and senior citizens. The food was especially appreciated due to severely low temperatures and snow that blanketed the area during the winter months.
“Community organizations like Children International are valuable partners in our fight against hunger,” says Michelle Groner, Community & Public Relations Manager for Harvesters. “Children International's efforts to raise hunger awareness and collect food are integral to feeding those in need in our community.”
