Now who amongst us can pass an opportunity for a taste of chocolate. Give me suggestions please. What would be your favorite?

Well I love chocolate...I just recently bought this popcorn mix that is covered in chocolate and carmel yum yum...

I dont really know any chocolate recipes. Sorry

I went to a fondue place here and had a chocalte fondue for dessert and there where pinapples and bananas and angelfood cake and marshmellows and strawberried to dip into the chocolate and that was the best way I have ever had chocolate.

There's a relatively new company called Hotel Chocolat in the UK, and they do the most amazing chocolates, and ethically as well, as they pay the cocoa growers a proper wage. They have a few shops dotted around - Nottingham, and Telford to name a couple, and an online presence. I love the Swiss Creamy Truffles.

Hotel Chocolate in the U.K. Sounds very interesting.

"Thorntons", ...my choice at the moment. I passed the shop this a.m. in town. I stopped to look in the window. I fell........such richness...such elixir....chocolate to die for. MmMmMm

Stephen,

This what God gave us taste-buds for!!!! Personally, my favourite is white chocolate. Got hooked on it from having too many milky-bars as a child!

My other favourite is cheese cake, I loved making them as a chid (still do)! I found this recipe in a book I am going to give my sister for Christmas.

'Now Your Cookin' CHOCOLATE'

White Chocolate Cheesecake

Ingredients

For the base -
9 oz/250 g macaroons, 4 0z/120 g cup butter

For the filling -
12 oz/340 g white couverture
1 cup heavy cream
1 vanilla bean
1lb 9 oz/700 g mascarpone or cream cheese

For the decoration -
2 oz/50 g white couverture, chopped

Method

Put the macaroons into a plastic bag (there's the zip-loc bag again!) seal and crush them finely with a rolling pin. Put the crumbs into a mixing bowl. Melt the butter and blend with the crumbs. Grease the bottom of a 12-in/24 cm springform pan and spread the mixture evenly over it. Press down firmly and leave the cake base to cool.

To make the filling: chop the chocolate courverture finely. Combine with the heavy cream in a bain-marie, melt, and leave to cool. Split the vanilla beans open and scrape out the seeds. Mix the seeds with the cream cheese until smooth and add to the chocolate mixture. Reassemble the springform pan and grease it. Pour the mixture onto the cake base and smooth the top. Leave to set in the refriderator for five hours.

Before serving, carefully loosen the sides the pan. Decorate the cake with the white chocolate whirls/shavings and cut into small pieces.

Tip - Serve with fresh fruit salad (so now it's relatively healthy too, bonus!)

Enjoy

God Bless

English Cadbury Chocolate Bars Is The Best Chocolate Ever!

I lived in England in '54-'56 when my dad was stationed there in the A.F.,and I love Cadbury chocolate. We could find it over here when we came back and for years, but it is getting harder to find now. So I often just grab a Hershey's with almonds. I also love white chocolate almond bark, and any M&Ms.

kind of chocolate

i like dark chocolate and those little hersheys candy bars but i don't like mr. goodbar or crackles

I really  dark chocolate have to be careful i eat a little as I am not meant to eat chocolate but it is something I enjoy. I enjoy the lindt chocolate yummy.

 :rainbow: :rose:

I bought chocolate for everyone in my family, for Valentine's Day, which is tomorrow. Well, I didn't get my toddler any chocolate as it makes him extremely hyper, lol.

I already have my chocolate 2/3 of the way eaten, even though it's not Valentine's day yet! Sometimes nothing will quite fill the need except for chocolate. I try to have a cup of hot cocoa when the chocolate urge hits, but sometimes I want more than that.

Dark chocolate is supposed to be good for you in small amounts. Milk chocolate is what I like, though. I try to buy it only once in a great while so that I won't eat too much of it.

Well....I don't mean to be making excuses here, but God DID create cocoa beans and sugar cane, didn't He? But then He doesn't want us to have cocoa and sweet treats morning, noon and night either.

Moderation!
