Christian identifying as jesus/god himself

Hey i had a talk with one christian guy about the coming judgement day- he dismayed it as that he already faced judgement day and himself had become jesus and continued to identify himself as being god
ive tried googling it a bit but absolutely nothing coming up, is this some vague form of blasphemy? i feel like it ties in with satanism where they consider themselves to be their own god- thoughts?

I'll give an example of such a person making such claims, who is indeed a Christian. When I was a teenager, our boys' Sunday School class was taught by a very kind and good Christian gentleman. For some reason, one day he was found on a street corner preaching, and claiming to be Jesus. He developed a mental illness and spent some time in a mental hospital, and back then he even suffered the horrible electric shock treatments, which he begged his wife to make them stop. To my memory, in his recovery, I do not remember him ever becoming stable in his mental condition. What person can explain God's decree as it concerned this Christian man?

Not surprising really. There are cults that people belong to, and one that a few years ago had to be pruned from Talk Jesus, that believed and followed a returned Jesus who happened to be in the body of a woman. Pretty dangerous folks even by the World's standards. The Chinese Government was after them! You also have New Age folks that believe basically the same as this person you've talked to does but with a twist. Some even call it Christ Consciousness which probably has more to do with the characteristics of Jesus being personified in the individual.

Maybe he took to heart what Jesus had said to the religious folks of His day, of which almost got Him stoned!

Jhn 10:34-39 NKJV - 34 Jesus answered them, "Is it not written in your law, 'I said, "You are gods" '?* 35 "If He called them gods, to whom the word of God came (and the Scripture cannot be broken), 36 "do you say of Him whom the Father sanctified and sent into the world, 'You are blaspheming,' because I said, 'I am the Son of God'? 37 "If I do not do the works of My Father, do not believe Me; 38 "but if I do, though you do not believe Me, believe the works, that you may know and believe* that the Father [is] in Me, and I in Him." 39 Therefore they sought again to seize Him, but He escaped out of their hand.

Is it influenced by Satan, or is there another underlying issue affecting this person's mind that requires healing? It is difficult to determine, but it is certain that he needs prayer, even if he may not realize it.

Did you not maybe misinterpret him?

There is a movement called the 'Christ - life' movement. They teach that they are 'one' with Christ. In an odd sense. What they say, Jesus says as He is in them, kind of teaching.
